Tele2 and Administration of the Vladimir region will eliminate digital inequality

2019: Agreement on improvement of a covering of network and connection of 78 localities to communication services

On November 19, 2019 Tele2 reported that they together with administration of the Vladimir region signed the agreement on interaction in the field of development of communication services. Investments of the operator into telecom infrastructure of the region for 2019 will exceed 400 million rubles. It will allow to improve a covering of network in Vladimir, Murom, Kovrov and Iridescent and also to provide with the high-speed mobile Internet and a voice communication of 78 localities.

The agreement is signed by the CEO of Tele2 Sergey Emdin and the governor of the Vladimir region Vladimir Sipyagin. Within cooperation in 2019 the operator is going to improve considerably a covering of network in the region and to make available modern technologies of communication for inhabitants of a number of small villages and settlements. Besides, the company will take part in implementation of the national program "Digital Economy of Russia" in the territory of the region.

Annual investment volume of Tele2 into digitalization of the region will be more than 400 million rubles. The important social value has that fact that in some localities of the Vladimir region services of the operator in standards 4G/3G/2G will become available for the first time.
