Space-rocket developments of Russia will be controlled Sap'om

The Russian Space Systems company selected the SAP ERP platform for creation of the integrated information management system by the enterprise. Let's remind what Russian Space Systems was created according to the decree of the Russian President in the fall of 2009 based on Federal State Unitary Enterprise Russian Research Institute of Space Instrument Making (Federal State Unitary Enterprise RNII KP). The corporation is created for the purpose of preserving and development of research and production and technology potential of the space-rocket industry of the country. A number of specialized scientific research institutes and NGO in Moscow, Penza, the Queen and Krasnoznamensk will be a part of corporation.

As the first stage of SAP implementation of ERP only the head structure of "The Russian space systems" as process of integration of the company is not completed yet will be automated. It is reported that a system on the basis of SAP ERP automates key business processes of the company: finance and accounting, material accounting, managerial block, including management of personnel and projects and also personnel records and maintaining agreements. A problem of implementation - not only to optimize company management, but also to strengthen image of the enterprise for involvement of partners as in Russia, and abroad, speak in the company. End of the first stage is expected in September-December of the current year.

The Praud audit and consulting group implements the large-scale project. As the CEO of Praud Konstantin Komayedov told TAdviser, for the choice of vendor audit of the accounting systems of the enterprise based on which requirements were created was booked and the analysis of the main information systems which are present at the Russian market is carried out. At the same time structural features of again formed company – discrete production with big material flows and difficult business processes were considered.

"Initially need of implementation at once of the multifunctional solution, orientation of the client to business processes and technologies of world leaders in the similar industries, need of risk reduction at the expense of the fulfilled technologies of implementation was designated", - Kamenetsky noted. According to him, among the advantages of SAP which played a role there were also a full support of required functionality, modularity of a system, experience of implementation of "heavy" solutions in the territory of the CIS.

According to experts, the choice for benefit of SAP is quite justified. So, according to Maxim Kokurin, the director of the department of technology consulting of Microtest company, "the Russian software makers cannot propose similar solutions of a full stroke yet". As an example of use of SAP solutions in the space industry Maxim Kokurin referred to experience of "Corporation of tactical missile armament".

Contrary to opinion of experts on insolvency of the Russian ERP systems it is worth reminding at least of experience of use of Enterprise resource planning Parus of domestic development for automation of the enterprises of the space-rocket industry. So, solutions based on the platform Parus are implemented in Federal State Unitary Enterprise Design Office of Transport Mechanical Engineering (DOTME), in Tupolev company, Federal State Unitary Enterprise Research and Production Center of Automatic Equipment and Instrument Making of the Academician N.A. Pilyugin (develops management systems of carrier rockets), in Sukhoi Design Bureau. All these projects are in a different completion stage and just affect automation of financial and economic activity.

Nevertheless, according to Maxim Kamenetsky, the volume of functionality of SAP ERP necessary for the client at cost "was not much more expensive than domestic developments". Contractors of the project do not disclose its budget. According to Maxim Kokurin, implementation cost without the expense accounting on the license can leave about 30-40 million rubles.

As for possible concerns concerning safety of use of the western system in industrial area, so significant for the country, they are not justified, specialists say. The functionality designated within the project, "concerns only administritivno-business activities and does not concern directly production, - Larisa Artemyeva, the director of practice of SAP Technoserv Consulting says. - Therefore concerns regarding violation of security and disclosure of the state secret are vain".
