At the beginning of December, 2019 "KAMAZ" provided the pilotless KAMAZ-4308 truck created within the project of Odysseys.

The machine is equipped with video cameras, radars, lidars and ultrasonic sensors and also industrial Wi-Fi, communication of standard 4G and the radio transmitter of VHF range. Data from sensors pass the additional analysis. According to developers, the autonomous car differs in the high accuracy of work — the error of navigation does not exceed 3–5 cm.

Pilotless trucks will be sent to coal pits of Kuzbass for use on dangerous sections. According to the CEO of "KamAZ" Sergey Kogogin, further the company will create the career dump truck UAV for transportation of coal and soil during the overburden works (removal of rocks).

By the beginning of December, 2019 "KAMAZ-4308" began to participate logistic transactions on roads in the territory of an industrial site of "KamAZ". At the same time UAVs can work at any productions where shuttle transportations along the set routes are necessary

According to the head of Rostec and the chairman of the board of directors of PJSC CAMAZ Sergey Chemezov, by the beginning of December, 2019 is developed by the Russian specialists several types of autonomous cars: "it is transport providing the movement of motorcades without drivers, beskabinny electric vehicles and city shuttles with the systems of the autonomous movement".

Kogogin says that development of the regulatory base for use of UAVs around the world will demand time, and it will definitely not happen in 2020-2021.[1]
