2019: Mail.ru Group was included into the three of the most earning developers of mobile applications in Europe

Mail.ru Group was included into the three of the most earning developers of mobile applications in Europe at the end of 2019. It is said in the research conducted by App Annie analytical company. Data are published on January 17, 2020.

According to RBC with reference to this report, in the list of the European developers of mobile software with the greatest income Mail.ru Group pressed the Finnish Rovio which is a founder of Angry Birds from the third place. In 2018 the Russian company took the fifth place: in addition to Rovio it was advanced by the Polish Huuuge Games.

In the 2019th first place of rating of App Annie was won by the Finnish company Supercell — the publisher of the popular mobile game Clash of Clans, the Irish firm Playrix which developed the most popular mobile games in Russia in 2019 — Gardenscapes and Homescapes was at the second place.

Mail.ru Group became the only Russian company which logged into top-10 application developers. Experts of App Annie during the research considered revenues of the companies from loadings of applications and internal purchases through platforms App Store and Google Play. Advertizing revenues are not included in calculations.

Mail.ru Group says that the significant effect on growth of indicators of rating was provided by games. In the middle of 2019 all game assets of group were merged under the uniform global My.Games brand, and by the beginning of 2020 more than 90% of audience of mobile game projects of the company are outside Russia.

Mail.ru Group systematically increases a share of the game revenue received abroad: in 2019 it was measured by 69% of all revenue of the game direction. By the end of 2022 the company is going to increase this share to 80%.

In 2019 Mail.ru Group including purchased game studios Panzerdog from Kaliningrad and Swag Masha from Belarus.[1]
