Biography
In 1998 he graduated from the Slovak University of Technology (Slovakia), and in 2008 received a diploma in the MBA Senior Executive program at Nottingham Trent University (Britain).
Miroslav Potochny has many years of experience in managing business and divisions. He headed major departments in METRO Cash and Carry and Ahold in the Central and Eastern European regions.
Miroslav began his career in Russia in 2007 at M.Video as a commercial director of digital products.
In 2009, he headed the distribution and procurement of household appliances and electronics at Merlion.
Then Miroslav Potochny became vice president for procurement and demand planning at Eldorado.
In 2012, he returned to Merlion, combining the positions of commercial director and director of business development.
In 2014, Miroslav took over as executive director of Polaris (consumer electronics).
In 2017, he was appointed vice president of retail projects at MKB Capital Management Company.
In 2018, Miroslav was invited to build a system of corporate governance, sales and marketing at Metallokomplekt-M, where he worked as Deputy General Director for Sales and Marketing.
2020: Tion CEO
In February 2020, Miroslav Potochny was appointed CEO of Tion. He is responsible for the development of Tion's business in Russia, China and the CIS, as well as for launching in new countries.
Miroslav Potochny replaced Dmitry Trubitsyn, the founder of the company, as general director. Prior to that, the new CEO for six months worked as the director of business development of the TION group of companies.
2022: Chief Executive
Since 2022, he has been the executive director of the 3Logic Group, is responsible for improving the corporate management system and increasing its operational efficiency. In 2023, he left this post.
