2020: Development of a hardware and software system for control of cargo pilotless transport
The Ruselectronics holding of State Corporation Rostec developed the complete solution for use of pilotless transport on industrial facilities. The hardware and software system provides automated management of vehicles: electric locomotives, electric vehicles, industrial carts, – transporting loads on industrial productions and in warehouse zones. Rostec reported about it on February 10, 2020.
The solution developed by specialists of scientific research institute of software tools of Ruselectronics holding consists of the equipment which is installed on pilotless transport, and the special software. Software in the automatic mode defines object provision on location, estimates a surrounding situation, will recognize obstacles and controls the movement of the vehicle on all transit. The solution also performs monitoring of technical condition of transport and accumulates all information on its movements and the modes of operation, transferring information to a single system of management.
The equipment installed on transport is designed on the basis of technology of positioning in real time (Real-time Locating System, RTLS) and technologies of intellectual sight. The active tag of RTLS is fixed on the controlled vehicle, and the readers installed in the territory of the enterprise, receiving from it a signal, calculate object coordinates. The system of intellectual sight, processing images from the video cameras installed on the vehicle, reveals obstacles in a way, defines departure out of lane limits, reads out a road marking.
The area of warehouses and workshops can be tens of thousands of square meters, and auxiliary transport and also the personnel servicing it is necessary for cargo transfer of long distances. The system developed by us allows to optimize a logistics chain of the enterprise, to optimize technicians number in industrial zones that is especially relevant for hazardous production facilities, told the chief executive of Rostec Oleg Yevtushenko
