Rostec: AVA N (the astrovising device)

Product
Developers: Cyclone TsNII
Date of the premiere of the system: 2020/03/04
Technology: Satellite communication and navigation

The device AVA N is intended for vising and recognition of stars in day and night time for the purpose of determination of own orientation in an inertial frame of reference and correction of data of BINS.

2020: Representation AVA N

On March 4, 2020 Rostec reported to TAdviser that the Ruselectronics holding developed the astrovising device of the last generation of AVU-H. Development allows to adjust data of navigation systems of aircraft and with high accuracy to determine coordinates on the basis of the position information of stars.

AVA N (the astrovising device)

Inertial navigation systems have complete autonomy – work irrespective of the global systems of positioning (GPS, GLONASS, Gallileo, etc.), do not require existence of external reference points and signals for navigation measurements. AVA N increases their accuracy and helps to adjust the arising errors, being guided by provision of stars.

Two optical heads, astrohatch and data processing unit are a part of the equipment. Thanks to it, at a solar flare and dazzle of one optical link, another continues "see" the star sky that ensures steady functioning AVA N at the movement of the aircraft.

The device created in Ruselectronics is effective not only for correction of errors of navigation devices. It helps the aircraft to be guided confidently in space even in the conditions of noises – both natural, and artificial,

As a part of Rostec development of the astrovising device of the last generation is conducted by the enterprise of child holding "Ruselectronics" – Central Research Institute Tsiklon.

Features and characteristics

(Data for March, 2020).

Characteristics:

The device provides determination of parameters of orientation at absence in the field sight of at least one OG of overcast and other noises, explicitly blocking a luminous flux from stars or creating powerful background radiation, in details of the Sun, and in the following conditions:

  • during rectilinear horizontal flight within not less than 10 min.;
  • at the heights from 10 to 25 km, concerning sea level during daylight hours;
  • at the heights from 0.5 to 25 km, concerning sea level in night-time;
  • with an absolute angular speed of AINS at the time of shooting no more (on the module) no more than 1.5 ° / page.
