2013: CarryMap - solution for creating mobile offline maps from ArcGIS documents
CarryMap is a unique solution for creating mobile offline maps from ArcGIS documents. Working with a ready-made mobile card does not require an Internet connection, which significantly expands the range of its possible users - from field workers to visitors to recreation and entertainment parks.
Any part of your ArcGIS project can be exported to an executable or map file for Windows desktop computers or mobile devices running Windows Mobile, Apple iOS and Android.
Benefits of CarryMap
CarryMap allows you to create thematic reference books, exploration plans, field survey maps, guides to amusement and amusement parks, and other GIS projects for navigation and information purposes.
Your finished mobile map will look exactly the same as the original project in ArcMap.
The exported card can be used not only on desktops, but also on mobile devices.
In this case, the finished map can be supplemented with notes with a description, which allows you to make it more informative. Added notes can be exported to KMZ files of the Google Earth application, which you can share with other users and use in other applications.
To use the electronic map created using CarryMap, you do not need additional software or special skills of the specialist GIS. The finished map file contains both data and a viewer program.
The data of the finished electronic card is reliably protected from unauthorized access and distribution using a password and limiting the time of use of the card.
The resulting card can be distributed on various media - sent by e-mail, published in cloud storage, uploaded to the site for download, etc. If necessary, the card can be imported back into ArcGIS.
The desktop version of the mobile card can be designed in a single corporate style using the ability to choose a color shell and add your own logo and watermarks.
Using hyperlinks and photos in the Identification tool dialog will make the mobile map more visual and interactive.
