History
The Data East company was created in 2001 on the basis of the Novosibirsk Regional Center for Geo-Information Technologies of the CO RAS. The successful work of the center, accumulated experience, high qualifications of specialists, established business relations with Russian and foreign partners served as the starting point for the creation and rapid development of the company.
Since 2001, Data East has represented the interests of ESRI, Inc. - the world leader in the GIS market and is a distributor of software products of this company in Siberia and the Far East. In 2006, Date East became an authorized business partner of ESRI, Inc.
As a partner of ESRI, Dat East specialists participated in the creation of software products such as Business Analyst 2/8/9, DDK Pro, SDC, SDC GP Tools/CDC Tools, Compressed GDB, MapObjects Java, ArcIMS, ArcIMS Transaction Server, ArcObjects ARC, WebGPS Services
Areas of activity
Data East provides a wide range of services in the field of creating and implementing geoinformation systems and technologies:
- software development in the field of geo-information technologies;
- processing and analysis of spatial data, creation of final spatial databases;
- selling ESRI software products;
- technical support and GIS consulting;
- training based on a certified ESRI training center;

Personnel
Most of the company's employees have been engaged in joint activities since the 1990s, when a research laboratory was organized at the Joint Institute of Geology, Geophysics and Mineralogy of the SB RAS. In 2001, Data East LLC was created on the basis of the laboratory with a priority area of activity - software development in the field of geo-information technologies.
Currently, there are more than 80 developer programmers and GIS experts in the Date East state. More than half of Dat East's employees hold a master's or doctor of science degree.
