On April 29, 2020 it became known of purchase of 300 medical ventilators (IVL) by the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation. Department will spend 450 million rubles for this equipment.
As the deputy minister Timur Ivanov told on board of the Defense Ministry to the Minister of Defence Sergey Shoygu, the purchased devices will be delivered in hospital till May 15, 2020.
According to the order of the Government of the Russian Federation the only supplier of ventilators defines JSC Concern Radio-electronic Technologies of state corporation "Rostec".
According to Ivanov, in the Moscow garrison medical care by the serviceman it will appear based on nine military hospitals in which 1845 specialized places are unrolled. 70% them are supplied with the system of providing with oxygen, 170 resuscitation places and the necessary medical equipment are unrolled, he added.
The deputy minister also reported that for fight against COVID-19 coronavirus nearly 5 thousand places in 32 military hospitals are developed in military districts and on the Northern Fleet.
According to this Ministry of Defence, a status for April 28, 2020 the coronavirus of new type is revealed at 960 Russian servicemen, from them two are in a serious condition. 327 of 960 infected undergo treatment in hospitals of the Russian Defense Ministry, 217 people are placed in isolation centers on the duty station, 8 soldiers are treated in civil hospitals. 408 more people are isolated at home. All military personnel passed test for COVID-19.
Timur Ivanov said that the Russian Defense Ministry created reserve medical crews from cadets and listeners of older years of Army medical college of Kirov for assistance by the infected coronavirus in military units and garrisons through the whole country.
According to Sergey Shoygu, the Ministry of Defence prepared nearly 7 thousand beds for possible hospitalization of military with a coronavirus and 30 thousand places in observator.[1]
