"Software product" provided a new intelligent system of examination of means of individualization

2020: Development of "Intelligent system of examination of means of individualization" (GIS Examination of SI)

On April 23, 2020 representatives of Software product and FIPS told about purpose, functionality and a scope of the GIS "Intelligent System of Examination of Means of Individualization" (GIS Examination of SI). A system is developed within implementation of the national program "Digital Economy of the Russian Federation".

The project on system development is directed to the solution of a number of questions, the experts of patent authority characterizing activity, for the purpose of examination automation in essence. A system provides open access to search in means of individualization and industrial samples to external users, using tools and approaches which are applied by experts. It is supposed that GIS will allow to execute search concerning such intellectual property items as trademarks, well-known trademarks, names of places of goods origin and industrial samples.

In a system it will be implemented several types of search in means of individualization and to industrial samples. So, the user will be able to perform search in images and verbal elements of the stated designations and also in attributes. Search in verbal elements will be available by algorithms: on writing (accurate and indistinct), on phonetics and semantics. Besides, search will be possible not only on data arrays which are conducted in FIPS, but also according to the data received from the external organizations. It is about objects of cultural heritage which will arrive from UNESCO and the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation, official simvolika and international non-proprietary names (information from VOIS), and, in case of the conclusion of the arrangement with FTS, about names of legal entities. Input of a system in commercial operation is planned by the end of 2021.

2018: "Software product" ensures system operation of registration of the Russian trademarks

On July 20, 2018 Software product reported that it ensures system operation of registration of trademarks.

The international trademarks serve for individualization of different goods worldwide. According to the international rules, trademarks need to be registered. Applications for registration of trademarks in Russia are submitted through the Federal Institute of Industrial Property (FIIP).

Registration of the international requests is performed through a so-called Madrid system – the mechanism of registration of trademarks and management used in member countries of the Madrid agreement worldwide. Submission of one request and payment of one set of duties allows to ask protection in 117 countries, and existence of a single centralized system gives the chance to make changes to a global portfolio of trademarks, to prolong the term of their action and to expand a geographical coverage. Besides, can be intellectual property in Russia and the appearance of material products (things, a subject, a product, etc.), such object is called "an industrial sample".

The requests for registration of industrial samples and the international trademarks which came to FIPS, are processed using automated systems of "The request for industrial samples" and Madrid. These systems provide a full stroke of data processing of requests from input of primary data in systems to a final stage of registration of industrial samples and the international trademarks.

The Software product company within the contract with FIPS is engaged in support of AS Madrid and ASBBD "Request for industrial samples". A main objective of works is maintenance of smooth functioning of software tools, ensuring the adjusting and adaptive support of software products.

The Russian FIPS project on maintaining the register of statements for state registration of the order the right under the agreement and signing of the contracts between applicants
