At the beginning of May, 2020 it became known what Singapore uses chetverony robot Boston Dynamics for patrol of parks and encouragement of social distancing between citizens. At first the robot will be used in hours of low load, but further time and zones of its operation will increase.

According to the TechCrunch edition, manages Spot robots the removed operator. Each robot patrols about two square miles of the Singapore Bishang-Angg Mo park of Kyo. At the same time the robot broadcasts the written message reminding to citizens of need of social distancing. "Let's save health of Singapore! For your security and safety of the people surrounding you, please, remain at distance not less than one meter. Thanks". Besides, the Spot robot is supplied with cameras which are used for identification of meetings of people, however the government reported that robots will not use face recognition or to collect personal data of citizens.

As the producer notes, Spot is equipped with security sensors which allow it to bypass obstacles. Its built-in algorithms are configured on detection of objects or people within 1 meter from the robot that allows to avoid collision. These cameras are not intended for recognition or tracking of people.}}

During a trial period of each Spot robot at least one employee of the park will accompany. If robots successfully pass a probation period, to them will permit to patrol the park and in rush hours. Boston Dynamics considers that the Spot robot can be used in the most different industries, from construction to television. The company notes that the robot can be used for fight against a pandemic and in other application, for example, for remote survey of the patients infected with COVID-19 coronavirus.[1]
