2020: TP-Link Deco X20

On May 19, 2020 the TP-Link company provided in Russia Deco X20 – a high-speed Mesh-system with a wireless capability of Wi-fi 6 (802.11ax).

According to the producer, the combination of OFDMA and MU-MIMO allows Deco X20 to create network which increases capacity by 4 times for attached devices – especially in the presence of a large number of third-party signal sources. Providing the low level of a delay, Deco X20 allows to connect to itself up to 150 clients. Thanks to support 1024-QAM and to the long character Deco X20 provides cumulative capacity to 1.8 Gbps (1200 Mbps on 5 GHz and 574 Mbps on 2.4 GHz) that will be suitable for resource-intensive tasks, such as online games and HD video.

TP-Link noted that Deco X20 also supports such technologies as BSS Coloring and Beamforming which provide more reliable and distant covering of a wireless signal, and function of seamless roaming will allow to switch from the module to the module, saving connection. Thanks to support of the standard of enciphering of WPA3 and the TP-Link HomeCare Deco X20 utility is one of the most protected wireless devices. Setup and control of the device are executed using mobile application of Deco.

Basic functions of Deco X20:

• Support Wi-Fi 6, the general speed is up to 1800 Mbps (1200 Mbps on 5 GHz and 574 Mbps on 2.4 GHz);
