The medal "For Valiant Labor in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945" was established by Decree of the Presidium of the USSR Armed Forces of June 6, 1945. It was awarded to workers, engineering and technical personnel and employees of industry and transport; collective farmers and agricultural specialists; workers in science, technology, art and literature; workers of Soviet, party, trade union and other public organizations.
ELAR specialists indexed documents previously digitized by the archive, entered information on more than 25,000 records in such fields as: Fund/Inventory/Case; sheet number; date of presentation of the medal; FULL NAME; work experience; position; medal number; district (ulus); village, collective farm, organization; award name, etc.
This project was the next stage of cooperation between ELAR Corporation and the National Archive of the Republic of Sakha. Earlier, thanks to joint work, an important array of documents concerning the fate of the inhabitants of Yakutia during the Second World War were posted in the public domain.
The AIS "ELAR-Archive" system has been serving the National Archive of the Republic of Sakha since 2014, at the same time the ELAR corporation carried out large-scale work on the digitization of various sets of documents. All the results of the work are uploaded to the AIS Elar-Archive system in order to fill in the information of the unified archival information system of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia).
2020: Indexation of digitized documents from the fund of the Military Commissariat of the YASSR
On May 20, 2020, ELAR Corporation announced that it had indexed previously digitized documents from the fund of the Military Registration and Enlistment Office of the YASSR.
Documents of the Second World War period from the fund of the Military Commissariat of the YASSR are posted on the website of the National Archive of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) through the AIS "Elar-Archive" module, users can search by the name of a war participant. ELAR specialists indexed documents previously digitized by the archive, entered information on 34,000 records in such fields as: document number, name, date of birth, place of residence, etc.
In connection with the celebration of the 75th anniversary of the Victory, users' interest in documents from the period of World War II increased significantly and thanks to our joint work with ELAR Corporation, we put an important array of documents concerning the fate of our fellow countrymen during the Second World War in the public domain. Personalized search gives the user the opportunity to quickly identify the date and year of conscription, information about injuries, irretrievable losses, demobilization, awards, which greatly simplifies archival search work. In total, 61,665 names of soldiers were introduced - Yakuts, called up from the Yakut Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic during the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945., says Natalia Stepanova, deputy director of the National Archive of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia).
