Key indicators

The Gross Regional Product (GRP) is the generalizing indicator of economic activity of the region characterizing a production process of goods and services. VRP is calculated by a production method. At such calculation of VRP it turns out as the difference between release of goods and services in general in the region, on the one hand, and intermediate consumption – with another or as the amount of the added value created in branches of the economy. At the same time amounts of added value on the industries are calculated in basis prices, i.e. taxes on products do not include, but subsidies for products include. For calculation of VRP in market prices it is necessary to add net (less subsidies) taxes on products and on import.

Budget

2019: Total income of the consolidated budget reached 54.45 billion rubles

The consolidated budget of the Kurgan region for January - December, 2019 is performed with surplus in the amount of 115 million rubles. Total income is gained in the amount of 54.45 billion rubles, the total costs of the consolidated budget of area made 57.26 billion rubles.

Tax and non-tax income for January-December, 2019 of the consolidated budget of the Kurgan region was 25.79 billion rubles (105.4% by the corresponding period of 2018). The main share in the total amount of a tax and non-tax income of the consolidated budget of area in January-December, 2019 was made – an income tax (41.1%), income tax of the organizations (17.7%), excises on the excise goods (products) made in the territory of the Russian Federation (13%), the property taxes (15.1%).

The main expense group of the consolidated budget of the Kurgan region are, still, expenses on the welfare purposes – 68.8% of expenses of the consolidated budget of the Kurgan region or 54.3 billion rubles.

The regional budget of the Kurgan region is run for January - December, 2019 with surplus in the amount of 532.7 million rubles. A tax and non-tax income of the regional budget was 19.88 billion rubles (105.9% by the corresponding period of 2018).

In expense structure of the regional budget interbudget transfers to budgets of municipal entities occupy 42.2%.

Investments

2019: Investments into fixed capital exceeded 40 billion rubles

In January-December, 2019 the investments into fixed capital aimed at the development of economy and the social sphere of area (on a cycle), made 40237.8 million rubles, or 138.4% by the corresponding period of 2018.

In structure of investments on financing sources (on the organizations which are not small business entities) 43.7% borrow own means, they made 12.5 billion rubles. At the expense of the raised funds it is mastered investments on 16.1 billion rubles (56.3%).

Branches of the economy

Industrial production

As of 2020 the industry forms the basis of the economy of the Kurgan region. The Kurgan enterprises produce military equipment, an armature and the equipment for production and oil refining, a metal construction for construction of the factory body, railway and automobile bridges, fire trucks, pumps, medicines.

According to data of the website of the regional government, for 2020 the area makes in the all-Russian volume about 40% of buses of the middle class, 40% of radiator products for automotive industry, 30% of antibiotics, 25% of bridge metalwork and 19% of uranium ore. The mechanical engineering remains the most developed industry in the area. A share of mechanical engineering and metal working – more than a half of all industrial output of area.

2019: The index of industrial production made 105.3%

In January-December, 2019 the index of industrial production in the Kurgan region made 105.3% in comparison with the same period of 2018, is shipped products on 150.5 billion rubles.

By the processing productions occupying 81.7% in structure of industrial production it is shipped products for the amount of 123 billion rubles. The index of the processing productions in January-December, 2019 made 107.4% by the same period of 2018.

Among the most significant processing productions production of finished metal products increased by 32%, machines and the equipment for 32.2%, production of other nonmetallic mineral products for 20.4%, repair and installation of machines and the equipment for 0.9%, production of vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers for 0.4% in comparison with the same period of last year.

Among large and medium-sized industrial enterprises of area for 2019 increased production volumes: JSC Kurgandormash – for 51.1%, Kurgankhimmash LLC – for 48.8%, RTMT LLC – for 23.9%, KAVZ LLC – for 23%, Bentonit Kurgana LLC – for 15%, JSC Kurganmashzavod – for 11.3%, JSC NPO Kurganpribor – for 21%, JSC Sintez – for 10.2%, JSC Dalur – for 0.8%.

For the reporting period the index of production on mineral extraction made 104.6% by the same period of last year, is shipped products for the amount of 3.5 billion rubles.

Index of production by the form activity "Providing with electrical energy, gas and steam; air conditioning" made 98.8% by January-December, 2018, it is executed works on 20.9 billion rubles.

By the form activity "Water supply; water disposal, the organization of collecting and waste recycling, activities for liquidation of pollution" is executed works on 3.1 billion rubles, the index of production made 93.8%.

Agriculture

The Kurgan region is the industrial and agrarian region. The agro-industrial complex is one of backbone sectors of economy of area creating the agrofood market, food and economic safety of the region. About 15% of a gross regional product fall to its share, in the village about 38% of the population of the area live.

As of 2020, according to data from the website of the government of the region, in agro-industrial complex of the region 229 agricultural enterprises, 270 producers of foodstuff, 1186 country (farmer) work and there are about 178.7 thousand personal subsidiary farms of the population. The Kurgan region is some their major agricultural regions of the Ural Federal District. Specific weight of area generally across Russia the volume of agricultural products is 0.9%, and the share in Ural federal district reaches 13.3%. The area specializes in production of grain crops (1.9% of the Russian Federation), vegetables (1.4%), potatoes (1.0%), milk (1.1%). The share of these types of products of agriculture in the corresponding volumes across Ural federal district makes from 11 to 27%.

2019: The index of physical volume of products of agriculture made 100.1%

In January-September, 2019 the index of physical volume of products of agriculture made by farms of all categories made 100.1%, the agriculture organizations – 104.3%.

Gross collecting of grain in the Kurgan region in weight after completion in farms of all categories in 2019 made 1,780.7 thousand tons (to the level of previous year of 107.5%), is dug out potatoes of 201.1 thousand tons (98.5%), collected vegetables of 97.6 thousand tons (105.5%).

For January-December, 2019 by farms of all categories on design data it is produced on slaughter 68.7 thousand tons of the cattle and birds in live weight (97.3% to the level of 2018), 93.4 million pieces of eggs (98.7%) are received, milk 195.1 thousand tons (96.5%) are produced.

By the agriculture organizations it is produced since the beginning of year 21.9 thousand tons of the cattle and birds on slaughter in live weight (98.3% by January-December, 2018), milk – 57.2 thousand tons (90.7%), eggs (98%). The average milk yield of milk on one cow in the agriculture organizations was 5216 kg, average egg production of laying hens – 271 eggs. For the reporting period implementation of the cattle and a bird remained practically at the level of last year (100.1% by 2018). Implementation of potatoes decreased by 12.8%, eggs – increased by 24.6%.

Transport

2019: Decrease in a passenger turnover of the motor transport by 3.6%

For January-December, 2019 goods turnover of the motor transport of the organizations of all types of economic activity (without small business entities and the organizations which average number of workers does not exceed 15 people) increased by 5.7% and made 343.6 million t-km.

The passenger turnover of the motor transport in reporting period decreased by 3.6% by the same period of 2018.

Construction

2019: The volume of construction reached 20.7 billion rubles

Amount of works, executed by the form activity Construction, in January-December, 2019 was 20.7 billion rubles or 132.8% by the same period of 2018.

Permissions to input of the out-patient and polyclinic organization (50 visits per shift) in Shadrinsk are issued, to transformer step-down substation in Kurgan, buildings of a chapel in Chastoozersky district.

Due to reconstruction elevator power in Shchuchansky district is increased. It is constructed and are put into operation kindergartens in Petukhovskom (240 places) and Shumikhinsk (80 places) areas. Boiler houses in Ketovsky, Safakulevsky, Shchuchansky and Yurgamyshsky districts are put into operation. Water supply systems in Shadrinsk are put into operation.

For January-December, 2019 the organizations and the population put into operation apartment houses with a total area of 234.7 thousand sq.m (without apartment houses on sections for conducting gardening) that made 101.4% of level of input of housing of last year.

Input of housing in January-December, 2019 increased in comparison with January-December, 2018 in Almenevsky, Belozersk, Vargashinsky, Zverinogolovsky, Ketovsky, Lebyazhyevsky, Mishkinsky, Polovinsky, Safakulevsky, Shadrinsk, Shatrovsky and Shchuchansky districts.

Retail

2019: Retail turnover reached 120.2 billion rubles

Retail turnover in January-December, 2019 was 120.2 billion rubles, in the comparable prices – 100.2% to the level of 2018.

Turnover of trade in nonfoods (51.9% in structure of retail turnover) developed at the level of January-December of last year, turnover of trade in foodstuff, including drinks, and tobacco products (48.1%) increased by 0.5%.

Retail turnover in reporting period for 98% formed the trading organizations and the individual entrepreneurs performing activity out of the market, the share of retail markets and fairs made 2%.

Turnover of public catering in January-December, 2019 made 4 billion rubles that in the comparable prices made 100.5% by the corresponding period of previous year.
