On July 18, 2014 it became known of the project of use of means of satellite control of transport at the Shadrinsk automodular plant (JSC ShAAZ).
Project Tasks
One of the reasons which induced the management of UMMC (JSC ShAAZ is its part) to the fastest upgrade of the diesel park, there were data obtained from a monitoring system and control of fuel consumption of Omnicomm set on locomotives of holding.
According to calculations, upgrade of engines will improve technical and economic indicators of work of a locomotive, will increase an engine resource to 30 thousand engine hours, will reduce fuel consumption by 30% and, as a result, will reduce the number of harmful emissions in the atmosphere, costs on fuel and lubricants.
Project Progress
The equipment Omnicomm works at locomotives of UMMC since February, 2012 when the holding held a competition on equipment of shunting and trunk locomotives a monitoring system of railway transport. Within tender the quantities including check of accuracy of measurements and fuel consumption, reliability of work of systems in different operating conditions are tested the systems of several producers.
According to the results of tests the equipment Omnicomm during 2012 equips 130 units of railway equipment: shunting and trunk locomotives, draisines, cranes, traveling machines of different modifications.
Installation and system implementation were carried out by Omnicomm-Ural company.
Project Results
Stanislav Yemelyanov, the deputy CEO of Omnicomm company noted: "Entering of monitoring systems and control of fuel consumption of Omnicomm into the state register of measuring instruments allows to use them not only for fight by fuel theft, but also for receiving statistical data and also development of standards. On the basis of these data then decisions, including, and are made on upgrade of the transport park".
