2020: Garmin purchased Firstbeat Analytics

At the beginning of July, 2020 Garmin announced Firstbeat Analytics acquisition, but the cost and other terms of transaction did not begin to call.

The software of Firstbeat analyzes physiological data and provides to users of graphics of a stress, a dream, the maximum saturation of blood oxygen, qualities of a training, training effect, frequency of breath and the burned calories. The purpose consists in that users could estimate adequately the data connected with physical training and recovery of health.

Garmin purchased software developer for the analysis of heartbeat

The Garmin company which specializes in wearable devices and GPS-applications, is going to integrate analytical opportunities of Firstbeat into the range of fitness trackers. Besides, acquisition will allow Garmin to influence competitors who also use Firstbeat technologies - Casio, Xiaomi, Huawei, Amazfit and Suunto directly. Now Garmin can change conditions of license agreements and gain new income.

Staff of Firstbeat Analytics will continue to work at former objects. Acquisition of Garmin does not extend to other companies of the Firstbeat Technologies group focused on corporate and sports clients.[1]
