The vast majority of web studios create the websites on the basis of CMS.
- "Boxed" CMS is available separately from services in development of the website (for money or it is free), besides, 5 or more web studios use it.

- 300 million rubles — the size of the market of CMS in Russia in 2009 was.
- 17,000 rub — the average cost of the license for development of the standard corporate website.
Market sizes will grow as the new web studios appearing in the market most often do not create the CMS, and use ready-made "boxed" solutions. And while about 50% of old residents (10 years are more senior than web developer) continue to use own CMS, more than 80% of young firms (up to 3 years of registration date) already changed for the checked someone else's programs. Experts predict gradual reduction of a market share of studio CMS for benefit of ready-made solutions.

In total about 1 million domains in a zone were polled. RU. Analysis department of RU-CENTER company for the first time within the similar researches published data on migration of websites between the CMS systems.
The monitoring of server and client web solutions which is carried out by analysts of RU-CENTER is a project deliverable which foundation of development was laid in 2012. The basis of development consisted in data collection by means of the script polling hosts from the special list under the HTTP protocol. The search bot distinguishes seven the leading CMS on on number of the websites: Drupal, WordPress, Joomla!, MODx, 1C-Bitrix, NetCat, UMI.CMS. Experts of RU-CENTER company say that the conducted research is not technically difficult therefore the provided data can be considered ideally exact.
The research showed that in Runet free CMS open source prevail. Their share in the market makes 87%, and "boxed" solutions occupy only 13%. Analysts note that for last year the share of free CMS slightly decreased: in January, 2013 it made 89%. However also you should not wait for this too little change that in the next few years paid CMS will take leader positions.
Joomla became leaders of CMS traditionally! and WordPress: their cumulative share makes 70% of websites in Runet. The third place with a considerable separation a commercial content management system "earned" 1C-Bitrix - 10%. It is remarkable that the solution of 1C Company advances free CMS Drupal in Runet – very popular in the rest of the Internet.
Intensive exchange between CMS in pairs where there is Joomla is mentioned!. It is remarkable that most of all transitions to this CMS were from other leader of WordPress: about 3.5 thousand.
Experts also note other trends in the field of web technologies: in Runet the speed of loading of the websites increases every year and traffic amounts grow. Leaders of servers in quantity of the serviced websites of Apache and ngix steel, at the same time the last solution continues sure distribution. Significant growth in interest of web developer in HTML5 technology is also noticeable. Analysts note that the speed of penetration of HTML5 into site building considerably exceeds the speed of emergence of new websites.
If to consider statistics on hosters, then advantage the Russian companies – they occupy about 70% of the market. The remained share is divided by foreign platforms.
The 1C-Bitrix company which according to RU-CENTER took the third position in the rating of popular CMS submitted own report at the end of 2013. It is reported that last year revenue on different products grew by 5 times. Also the Marketplace shop for Bitriks24 service was started. Let's note that according to the statistics iTrack CMS 1C-Bitrix wins first place in the rating of paid CMS from market shares more than 57%. From 1C about 100 thousand clients use a product and more than 25 thousand online stores work at this platform. The general growth of a partner network of the company in 2013 was 20%.
2012
IDC Data: The market grows thanks to a public sector
4.54 billion rub - approximately such is the volume of the Russian software market of management [1] in the prices of suppliers, the IDC company in a Russian-speaking research ($142 million) reported.
The rating of the Russian vendors displaid on the basis of income gained by the companies in 2012 from sale of software licenses was headed by the companies: Cognitive Technologies (Cognitive technologies), 1C-Bitrix, Business Logic, EOS Group and DIRECTUM.
The leading positions among the international companies are taken by EMC, Microsoft, IBM, OpenText and Oracle.
The main driver of development of the Russian market, according to analysts, was increase of complexity of managerial tasks, increase in volume of the saved-up documents in the organizations, need of acceleration of acceptance of management decisions and increase in volume of unstructured data. At the same time, the main consumers of software of content management in Russia became the organization of a public sector, financial and production.
Growth of a share of products of foreign suppliers almost does not affect the number of the Russian solutions - their share is steadily high. According to the analyst Alexander Prokhorov, it is connected with existence of domestic technologies in the field of digitization and recognition of documents, long-term experience of workflow automation of the local enterprises and need to quickly arrange solutions under the changing base of the Russian legislation.
Popularity of CMS systems
2017: 1C-Bitrix — the most popular CMS among the Russian online stores
The company "1C-Bitrix" announced on August 15 that it, according to the report on results of a research of the analytical agency Data Insight of August 14, CMS 1C-Bitrix is in the lead on number of implementations among top-300 respondents internet- shops from shares of 28.7%.
The lead of the Russian developer "1C Bitrix" from the closest competitor was considerable: 28.7% against 3% respectively. According to researchers, this factor emphasizes feature of all model of digital economy of Runet — in it the Russian companies and developers traditionally are in the lead. The segment of search systems on which "Yandex" holds the dominating share in 51% acts as a striking example.
In general online trade — one of the most perspective segments of the Russian economy. Only local online trade in material goods is estimated by experts from 700 to 800 billion rubles. In 2016 all e-commerce the segment grew by 23%. The market of web development is estimated at 26.5 billion rubles.
Many online stores from the research Data Insight are started 10-15 years ago. Then professional platforms for online stores did not exist yet. Therefore CMS were self-written. This historical heritage. 2-3 years ago the companies began to understand that support of own platforms — eto a way in anywhere. Inconveniently, slows down business. There was hype concerning large western solutions. Who wanted — poprobovat and drew conclusions. Shops saw alternatives in the Russian products — the director of work with key clients of 1C-Bitrix company Artem Ryabinkov said. |
According to Artem Ryabinkov, the platform 1C-Bitrix has all necessary opportunities for creation of e - commerce - projects, at the same time differs in optimal cost. The company is going to increase in the next several years a share of the Russian e - commerce - projects by 1C-Bitrix to 50%.

Methodology
According to data of the company, the list of participants of rating is created initially on the basis of market research, data are taken from open sources.
Analysts understand the universal alienable CMS extended on a commercial basis, developing a partner network as drawing paid CMS.
CMS extended on a nonprofit basis (under free licenses), the free website designers, and other CMS which share is high treat free management systems within rating, but they by these or those parameters cannot be carried to paid drawing CMS.
During the research the company analyzes all domains of the second level in the zone ru. On each domain the program robot tries to detect CMS from the participant list.
The algorithm is based on search of strong indications of the CMS installations. For identification of CMS so-called fingerprints ("fingerprints") are used. A print - the certain line of the text placed to a certain address (URL). Search of a print is performed in heading and a body of the page.
Poll is performed on the following algorithm:
- The fresh list of domains of the zone ru is prepared.
- Prints of CMS are arranged according to the page address so that more popular systems were defined on the first iterations of scanning.
- Step-by-step scanning of the websites is performed: the robot "bypasses" all domains, checking a print, then passes to the following print, more than 40 passes turn out.
- The domain is considered answered with an error if at the first pass (homepage) it is revealed that the domain is not delegated, does not answer or the timeout of the answer made more than 30 pages. At the subsequent passes the arising errors do not lead to completion of scanning of the domain.
- If the domain responds with redirection to the same domain, but with the address www., the robot passes to the new address and continues scanning.
- Redirections on other domains are processed as an error. Internal redirects are not processed, in this case the robot just continues scanning.
This technique as developers of rating say, allows to achieve determination pinpoint accuracy: the first additional pass specifies for 1-2%, and the subsequent — only on percent shares.
The received results on each CMS are checked manually by verification of 100 accidentally selected domains.
Accuracy of determination of CMS depends on the prints received by the company from developers of systems.
2013: Rating of CMS of Runet of iTrack
The iTrack company published the rating of CMS of Runet. Selection was 4,905,075 domains of the zone RU, the research period – July, 2014. 57.8% of the polled domains answered within 30 seconds, and CMS is detected for 22.5% of domains. The share of paid drawing CMS made about 13.1% of the general share of the detected CMS.
2010: The share of studio CMS is reduced
The sun studio CMS is rolled up: according to ratingruneta.ru, in June, 2010 only 26.1% of the Russian web studios used them. Hold the ground, generally old residents of the market. For example, among the agencies 10 years are more senior more than 50% continue to use own CMS, and undertake Bitrix and other others systems only if the customer strongly insists on it.
When old residents only began to run business, ready-made "boxed" solutions were not so distributed yet, and on an absence of fish it was necessary to develop own programs. In years developers managed to get used to them, - at court everyone is for himself. Thanks to years of testing on tens and hundreds of the websites, at least, does not concede the developed studio CMS "boxed" on functionality and convenience, and sometimes and exceed them. It is possible to note: Imprimatur, WebBuilder, RBC Contents, KLARNET CMS, AstroCMS and some other.
But there is no "youth" of web development sense any more to invent CMS from scratch when all necessary is thought already up and lies in a beautiful wrapper in network. It is no wonder that among firms up to 3 years from registration there is no fifth part of adherents of studio programs also, 81.2% work at ready-made solutions.
2009
Management systems for the website hundreds and thousands, but the leading role in the Russian market couple of tens from them have. On the English-speaking website cmsmatrix.com 1135 full-fledged CMS are registered. However the Russian web studios use not everyone from them. In the largest Russian-language directory on cmsmagazine.ru (the project of the Business Reklama Internet agency) — 378. From them more than 350 systems are not alienable. These are studio developments which practically are never on sale separately from services in development of the website (or nobody buys them).
Commercial management systems vary at the price in the range from 3 to 100 thousand rubles, on average they are on sale not more expensively than 16.7 thousand rubles for the license. This cost switches usually on basic modules. For example, for the corporate website it: work with static pages, news feed with a possibility of a subscription, directories of goods/services, vacancies, photo galleries and form of a feedback.
Practically always the first place is held by 1C-Bitrix. Slightly below it in a top there are same products (let and in a different order, depending on rating). From commercial CMS: ABO.CMS, Amiro.CMS, Host.CMS, NetCat, S.Builder and UMI.CMS. From open source of systems: Drupal, Joomla, MODx, TYPO3 and WordPress.
Market trends
Small business is caught on lease of programs and industry procurements
Understanding perspectives of small business as client, CMS developers adapt to his requirements. It says in release of versions of economy class, rhetoric about economy, the mass advertizing campaigns, introduction of joint low rates with the hosting companies and not only. Developers try to release the most ready-made solutions, using which entrepreneurs will be able to collect the website independently and if employ studio — development will occupy a minimum of time and money. Treat such solutions lease of CMS by the principle of Software as a Service (SaaS) and industry assemblies with ready templates.
One of the first step towards SaaS the Novosibirsk company "Amiro" (Amiro.CMS developer) took, having released in 2005 the designer of the websites webstolica.ru. By today on it, according to Amiro, more than 5000 websites already function, the project is quite successful. In March, 2008 released the hosting version of CMS under the name "Platform of Lease of Applications" 1C-Bitrix. Practically at the same time the release of the similar solution was announced by NetCat, however still fully did not implement these plans. This year SaaS version was submitted by UMI, having called it UMI.Cloud. Perhaps, over time opportunities for lease of CMS via the Internet will appear also for other leading CMS.
Abroad development of CMS as Internet services or, using the popular term, "cloud" versions already almost taken place fact. This prediction No. 1 in each expert overview. In Russia the popularity of lease of software limits mentality of owners. "About solution SaaS two-three years say that they will crush 100% of the market. But it does not occur and will not occur. Often lease does not approach because customers do not wish to pay every month, such mentality in Russia. The client wants to have something special" — Elekoyev considers Kazbek. "We encountered it when tried to hand over S.Builder in lease on different a hosting platforms" — he added.
Perhaps, the situation will change when cloud services begin to be guided by developers and designers for whom simplicity and speed of creation of the website will pour out in smaller cost value of services more. "The price of development falls. Hosting CMS is a model which allows to open the websites very quickly. Therefore our movement in the direction of lease of applications will be connected with decrease in cost value" — Vladislav Ukhov, the account director of Cetera Labs considers.
In opinion, Vladislava Ukhova, one more western trend which can be implemented in Russia in the nearest future will become development of support of social networks, for example, the automated unloading of content in groups and communities. Business is present at social networks more and more, in the companies there are marketing specialists who are engaged only in this direction. CMS with export of data will be able to automate also their work.
