"High-precision complexes" Rostec State corporations provided the robotic machine of fire extinguishing Pioneer intended for fight against wildfires in hard-to-reach spots and in heavy soil climatic conditions. On August 24, 2020 reported about it to TAdviser in Rostec.

In Russia the robot was created for fire fighting

The remotely-controlled complex is developed for fire fighting and mitigation of consequences of emergencies of technogenic character. The system of remote control allows to use all functionality of the machine, including traffic control and the fire-fighting equipment, without presence of the mechanic-driver at a cabin.

"The complex is created by cooperation of the enterprises of Rostec: the machine is made at Kurganmashzavod, the "smart" electronic stuffing is developed by specialists of the All-Russian Research Institute Signal. "Pioneer" on a caterpillar basis allows to fight against the fires in hardly accessible areas. The fuel reserve is sufficient for independent operation for 10 hours without refueling", − the chief executive of Rostec Oleg Yevtushenko told.

Are a part of a complex: the robotic PM-160 fire truck, mobile office for remote control based on the chassis UAZ 3909 which allows to manage operation of the machine at distance up to 1000 meters, and the wearable control panel based on the protected notebook or the tablet for work at distance up to 100 m. Management is possible using the keyboard, wireless manipulators or the touch screen, and the software of Pioneer is compatible to different operating systems.

Using control panels the operator has an opportunity to manage remotely the chassis, the hinged equipment and fire-prevention units with the firewater monitor of high pressure. In the normal mode the complex can be controlled the mechanic-driver.
