2020: Updating of an ACS lifecycle of accounts
Specialists of Softline company updated the automated control system for lifecycle of accounts of Microsoft Identity Manager according to the updated requirements. As a result IT specialists SPBGASU were unloaded from routine transactions, and to students, it became more convenient to teachers and staff of university to use IT services, reported on September 2, 2020 in Softline.
Earlier the IT company implemented the project on system implementation of management of identification data of users based on Microsoft Identity Manager (MIM). Two years later in SPBGASU the inner pattern in this connection it was necessary to make corrections for optimization of functionality of a system changed.
First of all, there was a task to automate procedures of management of lifecycle of accounts. For students and teachers it was necessary to simplify registration and authorization in such systems, Microsoft Teams as well as Office 365 – to make access on uniform to the password. Innovations had to remove a part of duties from administrators of information systems due to automation of routine transactions.
In a project deliverable, implemented by a command of Softline in only 38 working days, the university reduced administrative costs, having reduced time on processing of credentials spent by the staff of the university. Management of accounts happens through a uniform point using the Active Directory now, access to information systems to students and employees is provided automatically on the basis of their roles in the organizations, accounts of the dismissed employees are blocked automatically.
Engineers of Softline carried out necessary completions of the MIM system and updated it to the latest version of 2016. Function of creation and synchronization of accounts of teachers hourly workers was configured, additional templates of letters and fields of registration on the portal of a system are developed and also necessary documentation – an instruction of the employee and the rule of synchronization of licenses in a cloud of Microsoft is prepared. As a result a system began to conform to necessary requirements completely.
