2020: Development of the AI platform for detection of cancer at early stages
More than two thousand residents of Yakutsk participate in testing of the platform on identification of risks of oncological diseases developed by the undergraduate of Institute of mathematics and information science of SVFU of M.K. Ammosov in Yakutsk Victor Belostotsky. On September 4, 2020 the Press center of the Sakha (Yakutia) Republic in Moscow reported about it.
Онкопоисксаха.рф is the platform on detection of cancer at an early stage for residents of Yakutia. She suggests to undergo questioning to residents of Yakutsk and its suburbs aged from 40 years on screening of cancer of lung as one of the most widespread oncological diseases. According to developers, for the beginning of September, 2020 on the platform 2,300 users are registered, from them 627 completely underwent questioning, 300 already made an appointment with the doctor.
The user patient logs into the system, fills out data and answers questions. Thanks to the neuronet algorithm implemented on the website revealing a possibility of presence of onkomarker at the user, access to record to the doctor is offered to the person next day.
We are going to adapt it that any user could enter the data and reveal some quantity of markers, – Victor Belostotsky, the founder of the project notes. |
The platform was started in the test mode in August, 2020 within the Health care national project. On October 1, 2020 restart of the website is planned, then there will be an opportunity to translate the page into Yakut, access to passing of questioning by five other types of cancer will open, all hospitals of the region having the equipment for the onkodiagnostiki will be connected.
As noted in the Ministry of Health of Yakutia, the project is expected identification of six main types of oncological diseases which are the leading causes of death of the population of the region: lung cancer, liver cancer, breast cancer, colorectal cancer, cervical cancer, prostate cancer.
