Biography

2012-2012

Since 2004 Elena Sorokina held a position of the deputy chief physician of the Kamchatka edge cardiological clinic, and in 2012 headed this medical institution.

2019

Elena Sorokina headed the edge Ministry of Health in January, 2019, and before worked as the chief physician of GBUZ KK "Kamchatsky krayevoy kardiologichesky dispanser". As the minister Sorokin replaced Tatyana Lemeshko who had to leave after the scandal connected with excitation against her criminal case. After charge of the relation Lemeshko were removed, and criminal case – is stopped.

2020: Resignation from a position of the Minister of Health

At the end of September, 2020 Five members of the government of Kamchatka Krai left the posts. Among them — the head of the regional Ministry of Health Elena Sorokina. The governor Vladimir Solodov at the operational meeting reported about it.

All these months Elena Nikolaevna conducted the most difficult and responsible part of our work, by assessment which was given by the President of the Russian Federation, Kamchatka Krai successfully and adequately coped with a pandemic of a koronavirusny infection — Solodov said, commenting on Sorokina's resignation.
