NKT will transfer 3000 licenses "P7-Office" to educational institutions of Ingushetia free of charge

2020: 3,000 License Supply Agreement

JSC "New Communication Technologies" (NKT) and the Ministry of Industry and Digital Development of the Republic of Ingushetia signed an agreement on the supply of the Russian office suite "P7-Office." This became known on October 1, 2020. Under the terms of the agreement, NKT will transfer 3000 licenses for the P7-Office suite of office solutions to educational institutions of the Republic free of charge.

The document is aimed at fulfilling the task of federal significance on the digital transformation of the educational industry and government agencies as part of the implementation of the national program "Digital Economy of Russia."

The implementation of the agreement also includes the popularization of Russian information technologies at the regional level and the creation of the republican competence center "P7-Office.Professional."

This institution will be an authorized expert center for the installation and operation of the Russian office suite, the implementation of which in Ingushetia will be carried out by the official distributor of the IT company Lad.

The authorities of the Republic of Ingushetia seek to provide schoolchildren with technologies of domestic production, not only because Russian office solutions meet all the requirements, but also to show children how promising IT technologies are in their native country.

The realities are that children from a very young age begin to get acquainted with computers, gadgets and software. Therefore, it is especially important that educational institutions pay enough attention to teaching programs with which students interact and will work in adulthood, - commented Natalia Agafonova, General Director of New Communication Technologies JSC. - The use of "P7-Office" makes schools independent of the licensing policy of foreign companies, and also reduces costs.

The introduction of domestic software will ensure the independence of Ingushetia organizations from office IT solutions from foreign manufacturers, since technical support for the implementation and operation of programs is provided by the Russian side. The P7-Office functionality was developed specifically for public sector organizations and completely replaces the usual foreign products.

Students and educators will have access to a fully functional and format-compatible suite of office programs, including text document, table, and presentation editors, image and video viewers, a collaboration platform, and a calendar and mail client organizer.

The server version provides multi-user access, joint editing and review, has built-in chat, version control system. The package also provides a project management system, a platform for creating a corporate social network with a built-in messenger.
