2020: Start of an online show-window of goods for delivery

On October 13, 2020 it became known that Magnet, one of retail networks on trade in food in Russia, implemented an online show-window of goods for delivery based on the software package Tarantool Data Grid and a cloud platform of Mail.ru Cloud Solutions. By the end of November, 2020 the solution will allow to order products through Delivery Club service more than in 60 cities.

The online show-window with the relevant range available to the order in the shops working for delivery was necessary for the retailer for connection to Delivery Club. The online show-window had to integrate, structure and update data on goods and their existence in shops from different sources in real time.

The solution Tarantool Data Grid placed in a cloud of Mail.ru Cloud Solutions acted as the center between information systems of Magnet and Delivery Club service. Structuring data from different information systems of Magnet in the uniform product directory became the main task of Tarantool Data Grid.

In two months the Magnit company received a data mart, completely ready to work, which in real time transfers information to the partner. For October 13, 2020 shops in Moscow, Samara, Krasnodar and Novosibirsk are already connected to the Delivery Club application. Now the solution based on Tarantool Data Grid maintains loading more than in 15,000 goods items per second. In plans of the company until the end of October, 2020 to scale the solution on 200 outlets.
