Braverman Anatoly Aleksandrovich

Anatoly Braverman was born on August 5, 1985 in Moscow. His father, Alexander Braverman, heads the Federal Corporation for the Development of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (SME Corporation).

Education

In 2006, he graduated from the London Higher School of Economics and Political Science - LSE with a degree in economics and management.

In 2007, he received additional education, successfully completing a course of study at the Higher School of Economics of Moscow. In 2009, he took individual professional courses at the Russian State University of Oil and Gas.

Biography

2006-2010

In 2006, he got a job at Lukoil as an analyst.

In 2010, he moved to Gazprom Neft, where he took the post of head of the Investment Analysis Department. In the same company, he subsequently became deputy head of the Department of Development and Acquisition of Assets in the above organization.

2011-2015

In 2011, he was appointed vice president of the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF).

In 2015, he was appointed to the post of First Deputy General Director of RDIF.

2020: Appointment as head of RVC

On November 23, 2020, it became known about the appointment of Anatoly Braverman to the post of head of the Russian Venture Company (RVC). This was announced by the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF), in which Braverman is the first deputy general director. He will retain this position after RVC joined the RDIF.

It is noted that the RVC will carry out its activities on the basis of a co-investment model for the implementation of Russian and international projects, attracting partners to joint funds, projects and companies. This model is successfully applied by the RDIF in its activities, according TASS to a statement by the Russian Direct Investment Fund.

Earlier, RVC was headed by Alexander Povalko. Since the beginning of June 2020, he has been under house arrest on charges of abuse of authority with serious consequences (part 2 of article 201 of the Criminal Code).[1]

2022: Subject to US sanctions

On March 24, 2022, Anatoly Braverman, First Deputy General Director of the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF), fell under US sanctions.
