2020: Creation of the virtual twin
On December 9, 2020 it became known that the Schneider Electric company completed a pilot project on creation of the virtual twin of the headquarters in Moscow. The project was implemented together with EcoDomus company within the memorandum of cooperation in development of BIM technologies in Russia.
Digital double it was created with use SOFTWARE EcoDomus and it is integrated with the engineering systems of the building (BMS), BIM model and operation and management system with the help IoT- the Schneider Electric platforms EcoStruxure Building. Integration of these systems allows data to exchange and analyze "behavior" of an object and the processes happening in it in real time – to monitor dynamic change of the digital double under the influence of different factors.
The synergy of all systems of the building gives to service of operation full access to documentation on the equipment, to materials and technical solutions which were developed at a design stage and are implemented on an object. It provides the fast analysis of this or that arisen situation, facilitates search of the equipment connected with fault and accelerates recovery of a normal operation mode of a system. Access to the system of requests to service of operation is possible through mobile applications.
Besides, the three-dimensional model of an object allows to create the system of convenient navigation that reduces time expenditure of personnel on movement on an object. This function is especially relevant for difficult objects, such as airports, industrial workshops and other infrastructure facilities. Use of a 3D model allows to specify arrangement of the equipment in advance, to be prepared for carrying out scheduled or repair work, to provide existence of necessary tools.
Development and deployment of the digital double of the Moscow headquarters of Schneider Electric allows to estimate not only opportunities and advantages of integration of an information model and a management system for the building based on the EcoStruxure platform, but also cost efficiency and payback periods and also to define necessary requirements to attributes, structure and a format of data which will be considered when developing BIM model of an object. Qualitatively created BIM model with necessary data is a basis of the digital double, – Dmitry Bibik, the director of the department of work with Schneider Electric design institutes in Russia noted. – The Ministry of Construction, Housing and Utilities of the Russian Federation develops a series of standards on information modeling, including the principles of classification of an information model. It will help developers to create correctly a task for project participants during creation of an information model for all lifecycle of an object. Being a member of task force of subcommittee of PK5 on development of the regulating standards, Schneider Electric makes use of the got experience of implementation of a pilot project for formation of recommendations about development of national standards. |
