The management of Orimi LLC selected specialists of AXELOT company for project implementation on automation of warehouses by production from St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region. Active development and expansion of activity of the company required upgrade of warehouse economy that warehouses optimum coped with growing entering and proceeding product flows. Three warehouses of the company in St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region with a total area of 57,000 sq.m. were subject to automation. About 3000 active names of raw materials and materials are stored in warehouses. Implementation was consecutive – at first the WMS system was implemented in a warehouse in St. Petersburg, and further was replicated in other warehouses.

The list of key project objectives included the organization of accounting of products by expiration dates, the organization of address storage and automation of all intra warehouse movements of goods. It was expected that automation will allow to increase the accuracy of accounting of a remaining balance and also will help to unify and standardize warehouse business processes.

In addition to automation of all key warehouse transactions the project team of AXELOT should develop information exchange between the WMS systems in warehouses and a corporate information system of "1C:ERP". As an integration product the data bus DATAREON ESB was used.

In a work progress over the project in one of warehouses it was applied technologists of cross docking at acceptance of finished goods on the subsequent shipment warehouse on the central warehouse of the company. By means of the shipping documentation in a warehouse it is controlled onto the accepted/shipped products and an automatic prikhodovaniye of the freight train at single scanning of a barcode of a tovaronositel now. Calculation "on a piece of paper" is excluded, upon termination of scanning of all a pallet with the shipping documentation it is visible to the acceptor that is accepted and that is not present – it is not necessary to consider manually. Processing speed due to work is increased by the shipping documentation in WMS in the online mode.

In a warehouse the principle of FEFO at issue of raw materials and materials was implemented. After receipt of the order for shipment of tarofasovochny materials on production a system selects goods taking into account a residual expiration date, first of all with the smallest expiration date. Process takes no more than two minutes. Earlier the storekeepers involved in process of issue of orders had to spend till several hours for search of necessary goods, invoicing of the addresses on paper then all this was transferred to work to the loader driver. Thus the errors caused by a human factor were excluded both from storekeepers, and from drivers of loaders (illegible handwriting, lost paper with the selection addresses, did not lower to a pallet with goods). After implementation of WMS the stage "storekeeper search of goods" is excluded from business process, now for 100% the principles of FEFO are observed, the correctness of work of the loader driver is completely controlled. Thanks to implementation WMS became possible to keep track of fullness of a warehouse by tovaronositel to a total quantity of cells. A remaining balance by batches is traced – the batch is understood as an expiration date and number of a sea container.

The ability to manage by warehouse stocks in real time is implemented – all online transactions are registered in a system upon their physical accomplishment, but not after entering by the storekeeper in a system. And thanks to the data bus all changes are quickly transferred and displayed in other systems included in an integration circuit.
