On January 18, 2021, it became known that Shell launched the possibility of paying through the Fast Payment and WebMoney System at its gas stations in Russia.

To pay for the purchase through the SBP at the Shell gas station, the client needs to open his bank on a smartphone mobile application that supports the possibility of paying for the SBP. After that, he must select the payment section according to the QR code and scan the code from the preliminary check received at the cash desk. The payment will be made instantly after confirmation by the user, and a notification of a successful transaction will appear on the cash desk.

When choosing to pay through the WebMoney, the user needs to go to the QR Code menu on the Pay tab in the WebMoney Keeper mobile application to generate the dynamic code that needs to be shown to the cashier for scanning. The transaction information is instantly displayed on the cash desk. When calculating with the help of WebMoney, gas station customers will receive a cashback of 10% for their electronic wallet.

In the consumer sector, the volume of payments using QR codes is actively growing. We always strive to offer our customers a choice, including payment methods, and hope that they will appreciate the emerging cashless payment services. The fuel market in Russia is a segment with relatively low profitability.
