Softline helps AVA Group improve IT infrastructure performance by 10 times

Softline on March 1, 2021 announced the completion of a project to update server equipment for the AVA Group holding. The use of the updated Hewlett Packard Enterprise server solution allowed the company to simplify maintenance of the IT infrastructure, as well as reduce the labor and ongoing costs of its administration and maintenance.

The server combines high processing power, high memory capacity, and scalable architecture. As a result, the maximum performance of the applications used by the client was ensured, and the speed of all IT systems in the enterprise was increased by 10 times. Server resources allowed the holding to deploy virtual workstations for 600 employees - now specialists can connect to them regardless of location.

AVA Group management was faced with the issue of acquiring a high-performance server that allows you to deploy a virtual infrastructure and increase the efficiency of business processes.

Softline experts conducted a detailed analysis of the company's business processes, used software products and systems, studied the equipment requirements of the AVA Group. This helped to determine the necessary technical characteristics according to which the HPE server was selected in individual assembly. Despite the accompanying pandemic restrictions, after Softline won the tender, the equipment was delivered and put into operation as planned.

To meet all the requirements of the customer for infrastructure performance, a non-standard configuration of server equipment was required. The Softline team took the decision and vendor very seriously. A lot of work has been done on both sides, and as a result, the client received the optimal combination of the necessary parameters and ensured high performance of a large range of applications, "says Ilya Teslin, head of Softline's customer service department in the Southern Federal District, North Caucasus Federal District.

Separately, it is worth noting the use of the Softline Finance financial instrument in the project. With this service, customers can purchase any software, hardware, and IT services in installments from 3 to 12 months. The program participant independently sets a time frame for himself depending on his own needs and capabilities of the IT budget. At the request of AVA Group, the holding was promptly provided with installments for the purchase of the server. At the same time, the client did not have to contact the bank or withdraw large funds from circulation at a time, under the terms of Softline Finance, a pledge or advance payment is also not required.

Thanks to Softline's help in upgrading the server equipment, we have decommissioned 6 physical servers. For the holding, this was a real "breakthrough" - because we radically reduced operating costs, significantly reduced electricity consumption. On the high-performance server platform from HPE, we deployed a scalable, fault-tolerant virtual IT environment, for more than 600 employees, remote access to their workstations was configured. The installed server equipment provided the company with stable operation, high availability and performance of all systems and solutions, including 1C and more than 300 databases.
