2021: Implementation of the Solut Physical Work Monitoring System

The pilot project for the implementation of the intelligent physical labor monitoring system SOLUT (part of the LANIT group) on the basis of the field commands automation tool SFA ARK for Leader Team has been completed . This was announced by LANIT on March 4, 2021. Using artificial intelligence, models were created to recognize the actions of merchandisers. The decision made it possible to increase the efficiency of employees, clarify labor standards and monitor the work schedule.

The pilot took place in six cities: Kazan, Nizhny Novgorod, Yoshkar-Ola, Naberezhnye Chelny, Cheboksary and Moscow. For the first time, SOLUT technology was tested in an unconventional way, not on wearable devices (watches), but on smartphones, and precisely on personal devices of employees. Using the SOLUT application, smartphones accumulated data from built-in sensors that record workers' movements, phone position and lighting. Based on these data, recognition models were built using machine learning methods. Statistics were collected daily for all manual operations. Models recognized activity categories such as "work," "simple," "move," "use of a smartphone," etc.

The purpose of the project is to evaluate the ability to recognize the actions of the merchandiser with the AI model, analyze the labor costs of employees using the system, and monitor the quality of operations at the point of sale.

As part of the project, SOLUT data was superimposed on the data of the SFA ARK application, which is used by Leader Team. The application captures both the location of the employee and the tasks issued and their execution. All this helped to form a comprehensive shell for the work of merchandisers, capable of comparing with labor standards, analyzing the distribution of labor in man-hours with detailing up to a minute. So, the customer has the opportunity to effectively plan and distribute the workload among employees.

The application of IoT and AI solutions by outsourcing companies is an undeniable trend in recent years. Testing of SOLUT technology is primarily aimed at improving the work processes in the field and optimizing various operations.
