Founded in 2000, GlobalLogic has more than 20,000 employees in 14 countries (including Ukraine) and offers software development services to 400 active customers in industries such as automotive, healthcare and finance (by March 2021). In Ukraine, the company has offices in Kiev, Kharkov, Nikolaev and Lviv. According to DOU data for January 2021, the GlobalLogic employs more than 5,700 employees, which makes it one of the largest IT companies in Ukraine in terms of staff, immediately after EPAM and SoftServe.

70% increase in European staff over 2 years

By the end of December 2021, the number of GlobalLogic employees in Europe exceeded 10 thousand employees, which is 70% more than a year earlier. The company's staff in Poland amounted to more than 1,500 people, in Slovakia - over 400, in Croatia, Germany, Sweden and Britain - more than 90, 130, 80 and 700, respectively.

Ukrainian IT company GlobalLogic has increased staff in Europe by 70% in 2 years

According to him, the growth of the company in Europe opens up new opportunities for customers and specialists of the company. In particular, this is participation in international projects with well-known technology brands, professional development and training, opportunities for remote cooperation and relocation to different countries of Europe, Beda added.

The total contribution of the group of companies GlobalLogic to the development of engineering talents in Europe from 2018 to the end of 2021 amounted to $5.5 million. Over two years, the number of GlobalLogic development centers in Europe has grown from 13 to 20, and the number of company projects by the end of 2021 exceeded 460.

Despite the active development of business in Europe, in Ukraine the company's staff is growing even faster. By the end of 2021, it has more than 7300 employees, which is 3,000 more than in 2019.

By the end of 2021, GlobalLogic has offices in eight countries in Central and Eastern Europe, including Ukraine, Poland, Slovakia, Croatia, Germany, Sweden, Britain and Israel.[1]

Completion of the transaction Hitachi-GlobalLogic

Hitachi, Ltd., on July 28, 2021, announced the completion of the purchase of GlobalLogic Inc. It is expected that joining the company will expand the ability of Hitachi Group to promote initiatives in the field of business social innovation to solve global problems of customers and society.

Hitachi bought GlobalLogic for $9.6 billion

At the end of March 2021, Hitachi announced the acquisition of the American software development company GlobalLogic. The deal is estimated at $9.6 billion. It is expected to be closed by the end of July 2021.

The acquisition of GlobalLogic is part of Hitachi's plan to revise its business portfolio, which includes the purchase in 2020 of ABB's electric grid business for $7 billion and a series of sales of subsidiaries for the production of various equipment.

Hitachi executives expect that the GlobalLogic experience, which includes activities in the field of chips and cloud services, will expand the range of services of Hitachi's own business in the field of digital services.

Last projects of GlobalLogic include cooperation with McDonald's, in particular work on the client application of the company and also the system of digital orders in fast food restaurant. The company also collaborated with the manufacturer of Qualcomm chips, developing a fingerprint recognition system for it.

Until the completion of the transaction, the ownership structure of the GlobalLogic looks like this: 45% each belongs to Canada Pension Plan Investment Board and the Swiss investment company Partners Group. The rest belongs to the management of GlobalLogic.[2]
