2021: Attracting $1.4 million of investments

In April 2021, the GEM Capital fund, which was founded by Anatoly Paliy (worked at PWC, as well as in Gazprom's daughter Gazenergoseti), invested $1.4 million in the Belarusian video game development studio Weapon. The startup will spend the funds raised both on projects that have not yet been announced, but are already in development, and on new company games, work on which should begin in the near future.

The founder of GEM Capital, Anatoly Paliy, said that the company is investing in the oil and gas chemical industry, games and entertainment. And if the first in the coronavirus year sank significantly, then the gaming industry, on the contrary, quickly took off.

Earlier, in an interview with Kommersant, Anatoly Paliy said that the global gaming market is confidently going to the size of $200 billion.

Paliy also noted that the gaming industry is attractive in that the product created for it is easier to bring to the global market and receive foreign exchange revenues from this. Game stores are used around the world, and most of the game sales come from high-purchasing markets, including the United States and Europe.

According to him, the investment was enough to expand the development team and separate from them two teams that will work on two games at once in parallel.[1]
