VEA Games is a Russian game studio known for the Nikoderiko: The Magical World project, which received several awards, including a victory in the Excellence in Visual Art nomination at the 2020 DevGAMM Awards. VEA Games, as stated in the company, employs veterans of the gaming industry, who took part in the development of many landmark projects, including Allods Online and Skyforge.

VEA Games was created by Dmitry Smirnov in 2015.

History

2021: Raising $2 Million from GEM Capital

September 22, 2021 it became known about the investment of $2 million in VEA Games. The GEM Capital fund was invested in the game studio, which was founded by Anatoly Paliy (previously worked in PwC, as well as in Gazprom's daughter, Gazenergoseti). The raised funding is planned to be used to expand the staff and accelerate the production process, TAdviser was informed in the fund.

The VEA Games team has done a lot of work on their first major project. The game has already been awarded prizes at major exhibitions. Moment in the game Nikoderiko: The Magical World

By September 2021, Nikoderiko: The Magical World is in active production. Developers call their game  a classic platformer. The release date of the game is unknown.

By mid-August 2021, GEM Capital invested in 15 companies, including Mundfish (Atomic Heart), Owlcat Games (Pathfinder: Kingmaker), Deus Craft (Grand Hotel Mania) and 110 Industries.
