2021: Start of work on the project on the introduction of unmanned traffic technology in the Kazan metro

On April 6, 2021, the introduction of unmanned traffic technology in the metro of the capital of Tatarstan was discussed at a meeting by the President of the Republic Rustam Minnikhanov and the head of Transmashholding JSC (TMX) Andrei Bokarev.

The Working Group has already started the project. It includes experts from the Kazan Executive Committee, representatives of the Innopolis special economic zone, TMH JSC, the Ministry of Transport of Tatarstan and Municipal Unitary Enterprise Metroelectrotrans.

The meeting considered the "road map" of the project for 2020-2025, and the next tasks for its implementation. The main emphasis is on discussing the technical conditions and requirements for the creation of the first metro with autonomous control. Close cooperation is carried out with the Ministry of Construction of the Republic of Tatarstan and Innopolis.

Earlier, LokoTech-Signal LLC and Transmashholding JSC organized a competence center for drone control technologies in the SEZ, and RailNext will develop the Ctrl @ Traffic system for the full implementation of these technologies. During the project, traffic control, communication, security systems, as well as rolling stock operated on the line are being modernized. A new complex will be created to organize unmanned[1] control[2]
