2021: AniCura bought the White Fang

In April 2021, it became known that Mars acquired from the oldest in Russia networks of veterinary clinics "White Fang." At this point, it includes three existing medical institutions located in Moscow.

According to Sheets"" with reference to the data, SPARK-Interfax"" the structures of the Swedish veterinary company AniCura (part of the Mars group) in March 2021 became the owners of the White Fang-M and Alfa-BC firms, which manage the network.

AniCura Director in Russia Sergey Kesoyan confirmed the transition of the White Fang completely under the control of the group and said that now AniCura is starting to work in the Russian market.

AniCura acquired White Fang

It is noted that the AniCura Group will develop in Russia both through partnerships with leading Russian veterinary practitioners, and through the creation of new veterinary centers from scratch. The company's partners will have access to the international experience and expertise of Mars Petcare. Bely Fang joins AniCura Group as the first partner in Russia.

The parties do not disclose the terms of the transaction. According to Sergey Shulyak, general director of the analytical company DSM Group, a network of this scale can cost about 200 million rubles.

Experts interviewed by the newspaper note that there is not yet a single foreign veterinary clinic in Russia - such competition can force other centers to improve their work. In 2021, AniCura plans to open two more clinics in Moscow, and in the future - to enter the regions.

By mid-April 2021, the AniCura group has 350 clinics in 13 countries of the world and is a model of modern veterinary care - both for pet owners and for consulting veterinary doctors. As a result of the start of work in the Russian market, more than 400 new employees from Russia joined the AniCura Group.[1]
