Hospital doctor hired artificial intelligence for the first time in Russia

At the end of May 2021, it became known that Sokolskaya Central District Hospital she used the technology artificial intelligence Sever.ai to search for a new head physician from another region.

The head of the Department of State Administration and Personnel Policy of the Vologda Region Pavel Smirnov noted that for the first time in history, artificial intelligence was engaged in the selection of personnel for the posts of heads of budget institutions.

For the first time in Russia, an artificial intelligence hired a doctor at Sokolsky Central District Hospital

The project was implemented in four stages:

1. Screening of candidates in the Vologda Oblast. According to the results of the search, 296 relevant summaries of doctors were found, of which none turned out to be fully suitable for the requirements of the hospital. The robot evaluated the resume and called up the candidate for an interview only if there was a coincidence of 75%.

2. Search by other five regions of Russia: Nizhny Novgorod, Kostroma, Yaroslavl, Tver, Vologda and Leningrad regions. As a result, a suitable candidate was found in Yaroslavl.

3. The candidate was sent for an interview with the Department of Health of the region. In total, 19 applicants passed this stage.

4. After passing the approval of the candidacy of the Department of Health, the head physician relocated to the Vologda Oblast and successfully began work in the hospital.

It is noted that the complexity of the search was in the specifics of the work of the head physician: in addition to professional medical competencies, experience in managing the staff of doctors and medical personnel was required, as well as knowledge of the procedure for concluding and executing economic and labor contracts, the foundations of insurance medicine, the basics of ethics and deontology, the ability to organize effective administrative, economic and financial activities of the institution, etc.[1]
