Due to the constant expansion of economic ties and an increase in trade turnover in 2008, the company created its own logistics base located in the village of Bolshoi Istok in the suburbs of Yekaterinburg. The total area of the company's existing warehouse and office premises is 4500 square meters. m, new warehouse modules and construction queues are laid.
The next step towards the modernization of the warehouse of PTK was the automation of warehouse processes, for this purpose it was planned to introduce the AXELOT WMS X5 system, the project was implemented by AXELOT specialists.
One of the main requirements that PTK management made was the presence of developed parametric settings and the presence of an open system configuration so that the development of functionality after the completion of the main project was possible in various ways and did not have any restrictions - the company has plans for further improvement logistics and, obviously, the used software should fully support changes on the logistics base.
Otherwise, the project was expected to maximize automation, modernize current business processes and reduce the influence of performers on them, as well as reduce the time spent on personnel training. From the very beginning of the project, it was clear that all the richness of functionality would be required from WMS. As a result, AXELOT specialists managed to implement complex internal processes for commodity processing (selection by pieces, boxes and whole pallets; replenishment of box and single sampling areas etc.), assembly/disassembly of sets. Replenishment, acceptance and placement in the individual sampling areas are implemented taking into account the levels of "Min - Max." The integration of AXELOT WMS X5 with 1C: Trade Management of 11 system was implemented using the DATAREON MQ Message Queuing Service software product. 4 stationary and 20 mobile workplaces were automated.
As a result of the project, the tasks of organizing targeted storage of products were solved at the CAS warehouse, during the preparation of the system for launch it was normalized and the NSI was enriched in the volume necessary for automatic planning, and the unique logistic developments of the client were taken into account.
