2021: Implementation of EDO

On June 9, 2021, it became known that in a short time, a large perfume distributor LLC Nocturne introduced electronic document management for labeled products in its own accounting system.

As explained, the mandatory labeling of perfume products began in Russia on October 1, 2020. Manufacturers, distributors and sellers must submit information on the change of ownership of the goods to the marking system. Such information can be transferred to the "Fair SIGN" in various ways, among which the most automated is the use of electronic universal transfer documents (UPD), since it allows you to solve not only a private task, but also automate business processes in the company as a whole. How a large perfume distributor introduced EDO from scratch in a short time, the project participants said: the customer of LLC Nocturne and the performers - the operator of EDO Takskom and the integrator of EAST.

Until it was necessary to mark the perfume and transfer information about it to the "Honest SIGN," LLC Nocturne did not use EDO. Employees work in a billing system through which all settlements with counterparties are carried out. The development and maintenance of this system is carried out by the IT-company "EAST."

Faced with the need to transfer information about the marked goods, the customer decided to use electronic document management. EDO from the operator has a number of possibilities: for example, it allows you to exchange documents with counterparties in roaming, as well as work with informal documents of different types - not only UPD and UKD.

LLC Nocturne set the task of EAST to expand the functionality of the system used to switch to EDO in terms of the sale of labeled products. It was necessary to integrate the EDO functionality into the customer's system, while maintaining its interface.

Then it was necessary to select an EDO operator suitable for the customer's criteria. The operator had to have the appropriate experience in implementing and putting into commercial operation similar projects with other manufacturers and distributors. Also important was the willingness to provide regular advice on EDO issues. And the EDO solution itself should be simple and flexible, providing the ability to configure roaming with all EDO operators with which the company's suppliers and buyers work.

As a result, the operator of the EDO Taksky was selected. The solution provided by the operator - a set of ready-made SDK libraries - significantly saved the time of the EAST project team. Instead of studying the electronic document flow device from scratch, it allowed you to operate the EDO service at the command level. There is no need to study the principles of the formation of specialized containers, service messages and other features of EDO.

Ease of testing is another reason why an SDK-based solution was chosen. Finished developments in the form of test applications containing open and commented program code, significantly simplified the work of programmers.

Among other things, Takskom provided the IST integrator with an individual project team of qualified specialists of various profiles who were always in touch with the developers and helped quickly resolve issues.

Working in tandem, the project team of EAST and Taksky managed to fully implement EDO for the customer in 8 months. As of June 2021, the exchange of electronic documents with counterparties at Nocturne is growing with geometric progress. So, if in February 2021, at the beginning of the project's commissioning, more than 500 electronic documents were transferred, in March 2021 - this number exceeded 2000.

Two months later, Nocturne already exchanged electronic documents with more than a hundred counterparties - and not only with those who use EDO Taksky, but also with counterparties of other operators through roaming. As of June 2021, the exchange is already configured with 6 EDO operators, and no connection was refused with any.

The project was launched as scheduled. The created mechanism allows you to conduct purchases and distribution of marked goods. Our plans are to expand the functionality of the service, in particular, to automate the process of issuing marking codes for production and product balances. In the future, it is planned to introduce this solution for our customers - both large and not large companies and individual entrepreneurs that carry out retail trade labeled goods.
