Compass: Motor transport service

In June, 2010 the company started development of new functionality of the ERP system of the same name – subsystems Motor transport service. Development of a new subsystem is performed according to the customer order of the company, SPb SUE Gorelektrotrans which, since 2003, step by step implements different subsystems of the ERP system "COMPASS". Approximate terms of implementation of the first stage (module "COMPASS: Accounting of waybills") - the end of 2010. Subsystems in general - the end of 2011.

At present it is developed and the technical specifications on the first stage of the project in the course of which during 2010 the module "Accounting of Waybills" should be created and implemented are approved with the Customer. As the module the statement and processing of waybills on repair and operation of transport, calculation of the price-work salary of drivers taking into account work on the line, idle times, coefficients of surcharge for night work and holidays and also automatic flow calculation of fuel enter.

Further development of a subsystem "COMPASS: The motor transport service" assumes the next stages:

1. Разработка the module "Technical Department" intended for accounting and planning (taking into account time of operation and vehicles mileage) checkups and replacement of component parts.
2. Разработка the functionality Traffic safety which is carrying out the accounting of road accident, medical boards, validity periods of car driver licenses, etc.
3. Автоматизация economical department of the enterprise regarding budgeting and release of the reporting under accomplishment of the budget.
4. Разработка the module "Distribution of Motor Transport" controlling distribution of transport between clients and substitution of vehicles and also supporting the matrixes of routes allowing to calculate normative travel time, a run and a consumption of fuel (for the subsequent automatic reconciliation with data from the module "Accounting of Waybills").
5. Автоматизация divisions of logistics for the purpose of optimal purchase planning of fuel and lubricants, spare parts and overalls.
6. Интеграция with subsystems "the COMPASS: Personnel records" and "COMPASS: Document flow", maintaining working schedules of drivers.
7. Разработка module "Management of Repairs".
8. Разработка functionality of monitoring of an operational situation which will be used by the Management of the enterprise.

The subsystem will work in a common information space with the existing functionality of the ERP system "COMPASS".

Compass: Waybills and fuel and lubricants

For the purpose of convenience of implementation of a subsystem "COMPASS: Motor transport service" at small and medium transport enterprises the module "the COMPASS: Waybills and fuel and lubricants" it is separated into two parts: basic functions and functions of payroll of drivers.

According to marketing service of KOMPAS company most the small and medium motor transportation enterprises do not need automation of payroll of drivers as do not use difficult algorithms of charge.

On the other hand, for such users the cost of software licenses is critical. With respect thereto, developers selected the basic functionality "Waybills and fuel and lubricants" including the following basic functions in the separate module:

• Maintaining the list of vehicles with detailed characteristics of each vehicle.
• The statement of daily dresses on divisions.
• Mass statement of waybills.
• Processing of waybills in the course of which necessary these workers of the following categories bring:
  • manager;
  • mechanic:
  • technician of fuel and lubricants;
  • health worker.
  • Calculation of a standard cost of fuel automatically on vehicle mileage taking into account correction factors on route movements, to age of the car and a seasonal factor (an additional expense on heating of salon and warming up of the engine), works of a special equipment, existence of the conditioner, existence of the trailer.

• Accounting of the actual consumption of fuel and all gas stations.
• Calculation of economy and excessive consumption of fuel.
• The configured control of correctness of data entry according to waybills and the configured warnings of emergencies.
• Maintaining documents of fuel group.
• Accounting of coupons of the Customer.
• Issue of the reporting, including dispatching magazine, card of accounting of work of the driver, reports on a consumption of fuel and lubricants, etc.

On basic functionality "COMPASS: Waybills and fuel and lubricants" extremely low price – 4,000 rub for the license is guaranteed till 9/1/2013 (further it can change). Thus, on a combination of price / function it is optimal for the small and medium motor transportation enterprises.

As for the large motor transportation enterprises needing automation of payroll of drivers, they can purchase together with a basic unit also functionality "the COMPASS: The salary of drivers", the providing calculation of a base pay, surcharges for classiness, work in night and festive hours, appearance at work in the output, multiple-shift mode and so forth and also different awards on the flexible configured algorithms.

Thanks to the fact that the module is developed on the TNP platform implementing .Net technology, separation of functions (practically creation of the new module) took away from developers of at least forces and time.
