2021: IBM Sterling Order Management Implementation

Pandora has chosen a cloud-based version of the IBM Sterling Order Management omnichannel chain management platform to improve order execution and customer service. This was announced on June 30, 2021 by IBM.

The implementation of IBM Sterling Order Management has helped to increase supply chains the sustainability and flexibility of the company, reduce risks and reduce the negative impact of external factors. Using IBM Sterling Order Management as an office omnichannel order processing system Salesforce Commerce Cloud and as a platform for, e-commerce Pandora provided seamless customer experience across all sales channels. By automating order management, in-store sellers and virtual consultants have access to all the necessary information information about the availability of goods, the status of the order and delivery, which helps them meet the expectations of customers.

During the pandemic, Pandora forced the closure of most of the 2,700 stores, but investments in digital supply chain modernization and the opening of a digital hub in Copenhagen helped the company establish online sales and succeed in electronic commerce. Many retailers and companies have opened online order points in stores and organized delivery from trading halls. Pandora did not limit itself to this and introduced additional capabilities. Among them are electronic queues in stores and viewing goods in augmented reality mode.

Consumer behavior - the main engine of the world economy - has changed significantly, and companies need to constantly adapt, quickly adjusting to preferences and needs. To keep up with the times, major retailers such as Pandora, using artificial intelligence and cloud solutions, are introducing innovations aimed at increasing business flexibility, scaling supply chains and sustainability, said Kareem Yusuf, PhD, CEO of AI Applications and Blockchain at IBM.
