Content

The Tyumen TSUM is "business card" of the Tyumen retail. The range of shop – clothes, haberdashery, gifts, household goods, home appliances and home appliances – only more than 20 specialized departments and sections. The total area of shop is more than 22000 sq.m.

Situation


From the moment of foundation of shop in 1947 permanent upgrade, technical improvement and improvement of service quality were the main reference points for the management. Thanks to the aspiration of the company to support steadily high level of service and the correct setting of business processes, in 2009 the company was certified in ISO 9001:2008. Thanks to such approach of the management the company aims to warn requests of buyers, constantly developing the range and offering new groups of goods. Besides, in department store the specifics of fashion-retail are available: to keep up with promptly changing fashion trends and change of collections of the leading brands, the goods on shelves should be updated constantly. It creates additional requirements to merchandising setting: it is necessary to provide the high speed and transparency of process, to minimize costs and to organize decision support for purchasing department. Need of optimization of this end-to-end process served as an incentive to reconsideration of all system of management, regulations of work, and also processes of budget management. As a result top management of the company made the decision on implementation of a complex ERP system of a world class.

Choosing a Solution


The analysis of the ERP systems available in the market showed that the Microsoft Dynamics AX-system one of the best platforms allowing to implement tasks of retail business. It covers all fields of management - from finance and the business analysis to customer relations and personnel – and at the same time allows to consider industry specifics and individual requirements of the company. The choice of the platform was also influenced by reasonable price relation, productivities and qualities. After in-depth examination of solutions based on Microsoft Dynamics AX, the company management stopped the choice on "KORUS|Retail" - the solution of CORUS Consulting company certified by Microsoft. "KORUS|Retail" is the end-to-end system including the best practices of management of retail networks and shops. The solution was created in 2002 and proved the efficiency on more than 30 successful implementations in different trade formats. Thanks to participation of experts, western consultants and representatives of the leading companies of the Russian trade, the solution "KORUS|Retail" covers all range of business processes of trade enterprise, provides a broad set of functions, specific to the industry, and allows to optimize retail business significantly. The Tyumen TSUM selected the solution "KORUS|Retail" both for the "fashionable" direction of the business, and for automation of the shop of electronics Tekhnoshok which is in the territory of TSUM. Implementation


During rather small time frame – the project lasted only 9 months – the Tyumen TSUM took a huge step to parts of optimization of internal processes. Using a project team from Corus Consulting regulations of work, the politician of budgeting and process of treasury were created and formalized.
