2021: Boatless Navigation Simulation Platform Demonstration

Sitronics KT, a subsidiary of Sitronics Group, demonstrated the work of a simulator for training operators of marine autonomous vessels at a meeting with representatives of the Northern Arctic Federal University named after M.V. Lomonosov (SAFU). The company's developments in the field of simulation of skip-free navigation can be used in the Digital Arctic Scientific and Technological IT Park created on the basis of the university. This was announced on July 16, 2021 by Sitronics.

Within the framework of the agreement between AFK Sistema and the North Arctic Federal University named after M.V. Lomonosov, one of the areas of cooperation is cooperation in the field of information technology and the implementation of the Digital Arctic project.

The interaction with the university in this direction is carried out by the Sitronics Group, which is part of the AFK Sistema Group. Priority areas of cooperation are the training of qualified personnel in the areas of the digital economy, the development and implementation of new educational programs, including the training of operators of autonomous ships, and the introduction of simulator complexes at university sites.

The simulator presented by the university is based on a platform for modeling skip-free navigation (PMBS). This is Sitronics KT's own development for the creation of autonomous ships and virtual tests. It allows safe testing of marine autonomous vessels (MANS), modeling and forecasting situations. The platform can also be used as an educational medium. The development already allows you to model the behavior of ships and train employees using demonstration simulators.

The simulator is a ship control unit, the so-called bridge. Bridge system contains instruments, indication, controls. Each ship or vessel project has its own standard bridge. The composition of the bridge system is recruited from sections depending on the purpose of the ship. Sitronics KT can create a copy of any bridge, or develop a universal solution that will display the basic elements. The main thing in the simulator is the controls and the visualization system. The remaining components can be simulated on touch monitors.

Our company is a developer in the field of marine intelligent solutions and digital navigation. Thanks to the achievements of Sitronics, KT in the development of autonomous navigation Russia navigation is a pioneer in the introduction of autonomous navigation. Sitronics KT competencies and projects will be useful for the development of the Northern Sea Route. The task of training personnel for the creation of digital services, platforms and training of autonomous navigation operators is extremely important. In turn, we are ready to participate in its solution both in the framework of educational programs and in the provision of a training base for training, "shared the general director of Sitronics KT. One of the priority projects of the university is the creation of the Arctic IT park Digital Arctic, the appearance of which will not only contribute to the development of the university itself, but will also give impetus to the digitalization processes of the entire Arctic region. We are sure that it is here that special digital startups will appear, and the park itself will become an Arctic residence for the leading companies in the industry - that is why we are glad that the project partners were developers of unmanned ship management technology - Sitronics KT. We will develop and promote innovation in life - for the Northern Sea Route, the technology of skip-free ship management is very promising, "said Oksana Bugaenko, acting vice-rector for digitalization of SAFU, director of the Digital Arctic project.
