Prior to the SED implementation project, documents were exchanged at the Center for Neurosurgery named after Academician N. N. Burdenko using e-mail. This approach made it difficult to control the receipt of documents, their execution, coordination, as well as search. For these reasons, it was decided to automate document flow at the institute.

The main tasks of the CompanyMedia implementation were the organization of full-fledged work on document management and tasks, the implementation of mechanisms for the implementation of technological processes for document processing: preparation, coordination, registration, accounting, storage and search of documents, as well as the organization of control and management of these processes.

Before the launch of the project, the tasks of the project and the scope of work were formulated. The implementation project was implemented by InterTrust together with the customer's specialists. The composition of the project groups was determined by the Burdenko Research Institute and by InterTrust, the areas of responsibility were allocated, a work schedule was prepared and agreed upon, after which the project started. Representatives of IT departments responsible for infrastructure were allocated from the customer. They prepared server equipment and, together with InterTrust specialists, deployed the basic software of the system. In parallel, project managers on the part of the contractor and the customer have developed configuration tables for loading directories and setting up the system. Upon completion, the CompanyMedia was deployed and configured. The system passed acceptance tests and went into trial operation.

Also, within the framework of the project, the consultants of the company "InterTrust" developed instructions on paperwork, which formulated general provisions, classification of documents, rules for the preparation and execution of documents (taking into account the peculiarities for certain types of documents), described the organization of document flow.

The system serves the work of more than 1000 medical employees of the center, each department has a specialist responsible for the document flow of its department. The total number of such specialists is about 100 people.
