History

2021: Deloitte bought Sentek Global

At the end of July 2021, Deloitte announced the acquisition of almost all assets of the IB services provider for the military and government agencies Sentek Global, which serves mainly the US Navy. The financial terms of the transaction are not disclosed.

The acquisition of the Sentek Global business will expand Deloitte's existing presence in San Diego, as well as strengthen our current systems engineering capabilities and cybersecurity offerings in relation to other military industries and federal agencies, "said Mike Canning, head of US Government & Public Services Industry at Deloitte.

Deloitte acquired Sentek Global

Deloitte Consulting LLP head Heather Reilly added that Deloitte is focused on providing current, comprehensive, technology solutions in the field of engineering, analytics and transformation for customers at the US Department of Defense. The deal with Sentek Global will expand the team of qualified specialists in systems engineering and cybersecurity, which in turn will expand the capabilities and improve the effectiveness of the US Department of Defense.

In addition to providing systems engineering and cybersecurity for the defense, security and justice sectors, Sentek Global also offers program management services and integrated logistics services.

Sentek Global CEO and founder Eric Basu, who was a current U.S. Navy SEAL officer from October 1988 to December 1997, noted that Sentek Global and Deloitte share many common values, not the last of which is providing high-quality services and solutions for agencies serving the United States. According to him, Sentek Global joins Deloitte to help state clients solve complex tasks of system design and cybersecurity, as well as accelerate the scaling of services for defense, security and justice sector organizations.^[1]
