2022: Fabrication of Heating Textile Jackets

Startup Arktiktex"" Northwestern Nanocenter developed and manufactured personal storm jackets from innovative heating textiles. This was reported by the Press Service of the Northwest Nanocenter on April 04, 2022.

Storm jackets are made of a special membrane fabric that provides good air permeability in combination with protection from wind and moisture. The product perfectly handles the heating function thanks to removable heating modules integrated into the clothes. When creating them, the startup uses threads carbon nanotubes that convert threads into an independent heating element. Clothes from textiles, ArccTex is able to warm up to operating temperature in only 40 seconds, ensuring an even distribution of heat over the surface of the web. The maximum heating temperature is 45 degrees Celsius, which provides comfort and safety for humans.

Jackets are also equipped with unique NFC-tags located on the inside of the product in the form of a miniature sticker. The label contains specific information data for the product owner, which you can familiarize yourself with if you bring it phone to the reader.

The model of a storm jacket was developed taking into account the operational needs of TRP instructors: light weight of the product, maintaining comfort with intense motor activity, resistance of the material to abrasion. The manufacture of products was carried out in cooperation with the Russian sportswear manufacturer Sportego.

2021: Clothing plan with built-in heating system

On July 29, 2021, Rusnano announced that its startup ArcceTech and the Russian brand Farrdi would create clothes with a built-in heating system.

The first results of the collaboration - jacket and jacket - will be presented in September 2021.

The company ArcceTech operates in the Northwest Technology Transfer Center (NWCTT), which is part of the investment network of the Infrastructure and Educational Programs Fund (FIOP) of the RUSNANO Group.

Smart clothing will be made using innovative textile materials and printed electronics technology in fabric.
