Electronic cartographic navigation information system "Bering" (ECNIS "Bering") - a software and hardware complex for installation on ships. The solution is designed for a wide range of navigation tasks.
2023: Inclusion in the register of domestic software
The radar ship complex Bering.RLD"," as well as the electronic cartographic navigation and information system "Bering.EKNIS" are included in. Register of Software of the Ministry of Digital Industry of the Russian Federation These are the first the Russian navigation systems in the register, the domestic software use of which is provided for by the international convention SOLAS-74 for mandatory installation on ships. The company Sitronics announced this on July 4, 2023.
The inclusion of the software "Bering.RLD" and "Bering.EKNIS" in the register of domestic software confirms the Russian origin of the products, work on the basis of the domestic operating system Astra Linux makes the products independent of foreign solutions. Availability of RMS certificates of conformity ensures the possibility of installation on marine vessels without restrictions.
Inclusion in the register of Russian software gives customers a guarantee of long-term use of our products without risks and restrictions. For us, as a supplier of software and hardware and industry solutions for shipping, this is a competitive quality in the market, "said Igor Marenich, CEO of Sitronics KT. |

Registration with the Marine Register for use on Russian vessels
Sitronics KT (part of Sitronics Group) on November 21, 2022 announced the receipt of a certificate of type approval from the Russian Maritime Register of Shipping for the developed Bering electronic cartographic navigation and information system. Now it is fully ready for use and can replace foreign counterparts on new and existing Russian ships.
The system is designed to solve navigation tasks and ensure the safety of navigation. "Bering.EKNIS" can be installed on ships separately as a software and hardware complex or integrated into bridge systems.
Bering.EKNIS runs Astra Linux and can be used on routes in the Russian Federation and abroad. "Bering.EKNIS" works with a collection of official electronic navigation charts in S-57 format, encrypted in accordance with the S-63 protection scheme. IHO S-100 electronic cards are supported.
Unification of software components ensures the reliability of the system and its update. Modularity allows you to upgrade to the needs of individual shipowners with minimal costs.
Given the geopolitical situation for November 2022, the entry into the market of the domestic navigation system "Bering" has become timely and relevant. In addition, our development supports e-Navigation services and, thanks to interaction with coastal systems, will increase the reliability and safety of navigation, which is a competitive advantage over foreign systems, "said Andrey Rodionov, General Director of Sitronics KT. |
Add a feature to avoid collisions with vessels
Sitronics KT released an updated version of the Autonomous Navigation System on April 19, 2022.
The developers have completely updated the interface, making it intuitive and ergonomic. All information has now been collected into convenient blocks. This approach allows the vessel operator to concentrate on the data important for decision making.
In addition to updating the interface, additional functions have appeared in ANS 2.0. Thus, evasion will help avoid collisions with ships that do not comply with the rules for preventing collisions of ships at sea, as well as with ships that come too close. The system is supplemented with the ability to read maps of the S-63 standard. Also added the function of displaying radar video - information from devices is superimposed on a separate layer.
This version of the system provides the function of displaying the specified route, including in manual control modes. In addition, the function of smooth stopping of the vessel has now appeared.
Some of the improvements affected previously implemented functions. The choice of control is now carried out through two independent channels: direction and speed. And for any section of the route you can set one of several parameters: speed, arrival time, engine speed. The upgrade will allow the vessel to operate in the most economical mode of fuel consumption.
In this version, the ANS took into account not only the wishes of the navigators, but also modernized the system with the possibility of further development. Our main goal was to improve the safety and economic feasibility of using the system, "commented Andrey Rodionov, CEO of Sitronics KT. |
Transfer for certification to the Russian Maritime Register of Shipping
Sitronics KT, a subsidiary of Sistema Group, which is part of Sitronics Group, announced on January 19, 2022 that it had completed the development and submitted an electronic cartographic navigation system for certification to the Russian Maritime Register of Shipping.
The development can be applied both separately and integrated into bridge systems. The main task is to ensure navigational safety of navigation.
"The use of the domestic operating system in the Bering solution is an important advantage for the Russian market. In addition, the development supports e-Navigation services and, thanks to interaction with coastal systems, will increase the reliability and safety of navigation, "said Nikolai Pozhidaev, President of Sitronics Group. |
"Behring" works with a collection of official electronic navigation charts in S-57 format, encrypted in accordance with the S-63 protection scheme. IHO S-100 electronic cards are supported.
"We have reached the final phase of Bering's development - product certification. We plan that in the spring our ECNIS will be ready for use. The system allows you to work with all modern electronic cards, provides the display of radar video and images from video surveillance cameras, as well as automatic monitoring of the vessel's technical means, "said Andrey Rodionov, General Director of Sitronics KT. |
2021: Completion of the creation of the Bering INS
Sitronics KT, a subsidiary of Sitronics Group, is completing an electronic mapping navigation system for import substitution of foreign counterparts. This was announced on August 11, 2021 by Sitronics.
The integrated navigation system (INS) "BERING" is a software and hardware complex for installation on ships that meets the requirements of the Russian Maritime Register of Shipping (RMRS). The decision can be applied on any ships and in any configuration.
"BERING" INS consists of a number of modules: electronic cartographic navigation and information system, electronic logs, automated technical diagnostics system, emergency warning system. The solution provides a video display subsystem, a radar display and a virtual instrument panel. The system allows you to work with all electronic maps for solving navigation tasks, provides the display of radar video and images from video surveillance cameras, as well as automatic monitoring of the ship's technical equipment.
The hardware and software complex runs on the Astra Linux operating system. The solution modules are located in a single information space and can work both on Russian and foreign software. All components are developed taking into account the use of electronic navigation services. The unification of software components allows you to increase the reliability of the system, as well as to update and modernize it with minimal costs.
Part of the complex - electronic cartographic navigation and information system, is at the stage of testing and certification in the RMRS.
Bering is a fundamentally different system for Russian shipbuilding. Its use will increase the safety and efficiency of traditional navigation. Most of the software components of the complex are already used to create autonomous navigation systems in August 2021 and are undergoing pilot operation, "said Andrey Rodionov, General Director of Sitronics KT. |
