2021: Development of Business Process Implementation Concept for the Production Loop
On August 12, 2021, Columbus announced that, together with Corporation Ecopolis JSC, it had completed the development of concepts for the implementation of business processes of the production circuit for the NPO Aurus enterprise.
Ecopolis Corporation is a Russian complex of enterprises for the environmentally friendly disposal of waste of electronic and electrical equipment. The company includes 3 plants: Ecotechnprom, which is engaged in the processing of electronic and electrical equipment, Ecoplast, which processes body plastic from electronics and household appliances and produces secondary plastic pellets, and Aurus, a recently built plant for the disposal of copper scrap and scrap printed circuit boards and the production of a copper cathode.
Project prerequisites
Corporate management contacted Columbus to support the launch of the process processing of printed circuit boards into copper and precious metals at the Aurus plant. At the time of the start of the project, the enterprise was debugging and launching production capacities and there was no single list of business processes, as well as appropriate automation. It was necessary to build scalable business processes, maintaining their relevance in the process of integration with 1C-based solutions operating in two other plants of the corporation.
Columbus was selected as a partner for the project because it is an expert in the field of building and automating production business processes based on various ERP systems, and also has relevant experience in implementing similar projects for large enterprises, including in the gold mining and processing industries.
Realization
In-depth process analysis was conducted by Columbus consultants Plant based on Aurus production specifics. Based on the analysis was A complete description of the requirements for the target business processes of the company is generated. Then the production operations of the future were modeled plant, as well as business process diagrams and descriptions for subsequent automation in "1C: ERP."
The project was implemented in 2 months.
"The project was interesting and rich. We were glad to work with a strong and professional team of the Aurus plant: despite the fact that the project was carried out in parallel with the physical launch of the plant, thanks to the general backstory, we were able to quickly find a common language and achieve all the goals of the project, "- noted Vitaly Kurnitsky, Columbus Project Manager. |
Results
At the end of the project, the team of the Aurus plant received detailed diagrams and descriptions Business processes as well as advanced role models for future processes. The design was carried out taking into account the specifics of the operations performed at the other two Ecopolis plants, so the final decision is logical built into the IT circuit of the corporation.
When designing Columbus experts took into account not only the standard functionality "1C: ERP." As a result of the project, a list of modifications was created, the implementation of which will lead to the consideration of all the features of the Aurus production process. For example, consultants were provided for integration with a dedicated quality control system, the possibility is laid down integration with automatic weights set at each stage production.
Consultants have proposed a number of non-standard solutions for automating routine plant processes. In this way, an automatic work center was developed to coordinate the purchases of goods and raw materials, within which the system creates consolidated purchase requisitions, receiving them from different employees of the company, then centrally sends them for approval.
Integration was also provided with systems for accounting for the consumption of electricity, water, oxygen, carbon dioxide. Such an integration solution will allow Aurus to increase the accuracy of calculating the cost of production at each production stage. The need for such an approach to accounting is due to the peculiarities of the technological process, since the melting furnace always contains products from different batches of raw materials. In this case, it is possible to accurately calculate the amount of resources spent on the production of each batch only with the help of specialized sensors.
As part of the project, Columbus specialists created descriptions of objects, entities, and System modifications to automate plant business processes. The development of such instructions became a non-trivial task: it was It is necessary to think in detail about the target state of the future system before its implementation.
"Columbus consultants helped us build the enterprise's business processes. Thanks to productive joint work, it was possible not only to design the future model of IT solutions at the plant of NPO Aurus LLC, but also to determine a promising vector for the development of process automation of Corporation Ecopolis JSC, - commented by Yevgeny Safronov, deputy general director of Corporation Ecopolis JSC for information technology. |
