History
2022: Presentation of the project on environmental recycling of plastic
The Ecoplast plant presented its project on the environmental disposal of plastic from old electronic equipment to a foreign audience. This was announced by Technopolice Moscow on March 29, 2022 from the words of General Director Gennady Dogtev.
The Ecoplast plant is part of Ecopolis Corporation and is one of the participants in the single raw material chain of the corporation, which unites three enterprises. Within the framework of the built cycle, the company extracts and separates materials from used household and electronic equipment, including copper and printed circuit boards.
Directly at Ecoplast, recovered plastics are processed into secondary plastic pellets. In addition, as of March 2022, the company carries out completely waste-free production and produces products for the housing and communal services sector from those fractions of plastic that are not subject to processing into granules and cannot be used in industry in the future. They can be considered as an example of the optimal organization of environmentally oriented industries, "said Gennady Dogtev. |
Thanks to the introduction of another production line, Ecoplast now creates products for the communal sphere: tiles for closing cable in trenches and drainage trays. Tile, in particular, serves as an alternative to brick when laying an electric cable and allows you to significantly reduce logistics costs and increase the productivity of stowers.
As previously reported, if a ton of brick can be closed 35 meters of cable, then a ton of tiles is about 320. Their use also reduces the carbon footprint of transport and equipment during unloading.
According to Ekaterina Radionova, Deputy Director General of Ecopolis Corporation for Operations, the key values of the company are achieving sustainable development, building closed-loop economic models and reducing the negative impact of business on the environment.
Electronic scrap is one of the most valuable sources of secondary resources: non-ferrous and ferrous metals, plastics, etc. Technologies used in our enterprises allow up to 95% of electronic waste materials to be returned to the economy as secondary raw materials. Such a high percentage can make the processing of waste of electronic and electrical equipment a driver of the development of the closed-loop economy in our country. Both business and the state and the population are interested in this, "said Ekaterina Radionova, Deputy General Director of Ecopolis Corporation for Operations. |
