History
2020
Completion of the electronic waste processing plant complex
On June 30, 2020, Ecopolis Corporation announced the completion of the formation of a complex of electronic waste processing plants in Russia. At NPO Aurus LLC, in the workshops for the production of non-ferrous and precious metals, commissioning work begins. More details here.
Approved First Draft of Federal Electronic and Electrical Waste Management Scheme
On April 27, 2020, the first draft of the federal waste management scheme was approved by Deputy Prime Minister of the RFViktoria Abramchenko. This was announced by Ecopolis on April 28, 2020. Earlier, the Corporation took part in the formation of the document, informing PPK REO about its plants for environmental processing and recycling of electronic waste.
Waste of electronic and electrical equipment (EEA) is the fastest growing waste group worldwide. According to experts, about 1.4 million tons of OEO are formed annually in Russia. And this indicator is increasing every year. 70% of electronics waste is generated by individuals. Therefore, when forming a federal waste management scheme, it is important to provide infrastructure for the management of EEA, which are actually part of MSW, to ensure their subsequent environmental processing (recycling).
In this regard, Ecopolis Corporation sent its proposals to the PPK REO to include in the federal waste management scheme three enterprises connected by a single raw material chain and included in the only technological complex in Russia for the environmental processing of electronic waste. We are talking about two Moscow plants "Ecotechniprom" and "Ecoplast," the latter is located on the territory of the SEZ "Technopolice" Moscow. " As well as the only enterprise in Russia for the processing of printed circuit boards "Aurus," located in the Oryol region on the territory of TOSER "Mtsensk."
Processing plants are one of the most important components of an effective federal waste management scheme. In the current economic situation, there are likely to be difficulties with investment projects to create waste treatment facilities. Therefore, when developing a federal waste management scheme, it is very important to use the already created and really functioning processing enterprises as much as possible. In this regard, we sent a proposal to the PPK REO to include the facilities of Ecopolis Corporation in this strategically important document for Russia. In our opinion, consolidating the efforts of private business and the state to solve the problem of waste management in our country and ensuring the maximum return of secondary resources to economic turnover is the most rational way, CEO of Ecopolis Corporation Maxim Lobanov noted

2019: Launch of a project to collect old electronics at industrial enterprises in Moscow
On November 7, 2019, Ecopolis announced that, together with the Department of Investment and Industrial Policy of Moscow, it launched a project to collect old electronics at industrial enterprises in the capital.
According to the company, containers for collecting old electronics and household appliances will appear at metropolitan industrial enterprises.
All used equipment will be used for environmental disposal at the enterprises of Ecopolis Corporation. Computers, phones, laptops, printers and other office equipment, kettles, TVs, refrigerators, game consoles, microwaves and much more are accepted for recycling.
Up to 95% of electronic waste is recycled by Ecopolis Corporation into secondary raw materials. For example, plastic will be sent to the Ecoplast plant (part of the Ecopolis Corporation) on the territory of the Technopolice Moscow SEZ. There, high-quality secondary granules ABS, PP and PS. These granules can be used to produce parts of the automotive industry, building materials and updated electronics and household appliances.
We are pleased with the opportunity to hold a joint campaign with the Department of Investment and Industrial Policy of Moscow to collect spent electronic equipment at the largest production facilities in our city. All equipment will go to ecology processing at the Ecopolis Corporation plants, thereby our joint project will increase the share of actual eco-utilization and reduce the amount of hazardous waste in landfills. This will be a real step towards implementing the provisions of the Industrial Development Strategy for Waste Treatment, Disposal and Disposal, approved by the Government of the Russian Federation. told Alexandra Shadiuk, Deputy CEO of Ecopolis Corporation |
Moscow annually produces about 130 thousand tons of electronic garbage. For the environment, this is one of the most toxic and harmful types of waste. The combined capacity of the Ecopolis Corporation plant complex enables the disposal of most of this volume, which is a notable achievement. We will continue to support the Ecoplast plant, which returns almost all "electronic" plastic to the economy, and does this on the territory of the Technopolis Moscow SEZ. said Alexander Prokhorov, head of the Department of Investment and Industrial Policy of Moscow |
As of November 2019, there are already several containers of Ecopolis Corporation in the capital. For example, on October 14, 2019, one of them appeared on the territory of the Technopolice Moscow SEZ. And in the summer, specialized containers for collecting spent electronic and electrical equipment from the population were installed in the Nekrasovka area.
As of November 2019, the main activity of the company is investment in the processing and disposal of waste electronic and electrical equipment.
