2021: Accreditation for issuance and maintenance of enhanced qualified electronic signature certificates

The corporate certification center of ROSATOM, operating on the basis of the nuclear industry IT integrator, Greenatom JSC, has received accreditation for the issuance and maintenance of enhanced qualified electronic signature certificates in the Russian Federation and plans to issue an electronic signature not only to industry organizations, but also to companies outside its borders. This was announced by Greenatom on August 26, 2021.

Obtaining accreditation is associated with an increase in the requirements of the federal law "On Electronic Signature" for financial liability, the business reputation of certification centers and the integrity of their relationship when dealing with an electronic signature when issuing it and in the process of subsequent service support. In total, at the end of August 2021, 26 out of more than 400 certification centers of the Russian Federation confirmed compliance with current criteria. Greenatom accreditation is valid until 2024.

As of August 2021, more than 350 nuclear enterprises are already customers of the Rosatom certification center. The provision of a convenient and scalable service for the issuance and maintenance of electronic signatures for non-industry organizations became possible due to the implementation IT of solutions and, in particular, the platform of trusted services - its own industry system IT Infrastructure and for accounting for funds cryptographic information protection and working with electronic signatures.

The trusted services platform makes it easier to receive new certificates of electronic signatures and renew existing ones. Another plus solution is that in corporate information systems with an electronic signature, you can work without installing additional software on your computer.

Thanks to IT tools, the creation of a single architecture and the maximum "digitization" of processes, we have not only introduced Russian solutions for working with documents for hundreds of thousands of users, we have gone beyond the nuclear industry and now have the opportunity to translate into electronic format interaction with state authorities in the field of tax monitoring, with suppliers and contractors - in the field of procurement, and through the accreditation of the certification center, we will now be able to assist other companies in obtaining and maintaining an electronic signature, - said Evgeny Abakumov, Director of ROSATOM State Corporation for Information Technology.
